Why do I have no PR?

PageRank is a score that Google gives websites to rank their importance on the web. The scores range from 0 to 10. Being indexed in Google does not mean that your site's importance goes up. It's importance is gauged by how many other sites link to you, under the assumption that if people are linking, you must be important.

I've said it a hundred times before "I couldn't care less about PR".....

Back in the day it used to be all the rage to see how far up on the PR scale you could get your site and I guess for some it still is.

For me, couldn't care less, I care more about the traffic I get. I think the highest PR site I have is a PR2 and I only know that because I just checked as it's one of my oldest and best adsense money makers....

Go after a high PR if you want, it's not going to do you any harm and I guess if you get a good enough PR then you can start selling links for some extra income....

PR of a domain is only valuable to the outgoing links on the page. PR will play no effect on your rankings.

If you have a high PR domain/page and you link to an internal page or external page, you are giving powerful link value to the page your pointing to and will likely increase the rankings of the page you are backlinking.

If you have a link coming in from a high PR page, you are likely to see ranking increases because you are getting a backlink from a high PR page.

You can increase your pages PR by getting backlinks. X amount of PRX links will equal and establish PRX to the page the backlink are pointing to. For example, if you have a PR0 page and want to increase the PR you need backlinks. If you get 100 PR0 backlinks, your page might turn into a PR1. If you get 1 PR6 backlink, you might get a PR3, PR4 and if your luckly a PR5.

In either case a PR0 and PR10 link will increase your rankings to some degree. The higher the PR the more likely you will see bigger increases in rankings. You need more PR0 links to increase rank and less of the PR4, PR5 and up links to increase rank. The more high PR links you get the faster you will climb rank and depending on what mixture of backlinks PR you have will determine your pages PR. Your pages PR will only have an effect on who you link to and will play no part in the search engines rankings for the keyword you are trying to rank for

I think you don't have enough back links or you didn't follow google guide lines.

Why should you care? You only care about the PR of other sites liking to you. Keep your eyes on that and eventually your own PR builds up.

the PR of the blog have nothing to do with rankings it is a pretty useless factors and Google wants us to take it as a important factor by creating some PR hypes but don't take it seriously.

PR is criterion of credibility that can be achieve by Link Popularity, Unique content, users visits, trusted domain, on page optimization etc etc.

People just put to much importance on PR...even Google is advising not to be obsessed with it as it's not that important in ranking factors as it was...
