blog comment exploded!!

Hey I Posted a blog comment on a blog for a backlink... and several backlink checker tools say I have 50 backlinks from this one blog and my google ranking also went up significantly after this... I cant find my link any where on these pages... has anyone ever had this happen?? im trying to mimic these results

  • Some blogs have a recent comments widget that is shown on all pages of the site. If you posted on a blog with 50 pages then you should be getting that many backlinks, if they have the widget.

    It happened with me also...nothing to worry about it..
  • As "That Guy" mentioned it was probably due to a recent comments widget which meant you link was site wide for a period of time, it used to be a strategy to get extra links from one comment.
