My question is after optimizing a page how can I leave a footprint that I have optimized the site so that I can show the proof to my new clients??

First of all I thought I can put a HTML comment tag inside the page and there I can write like
<!This site has optimized by Rafi. Contact with me http://www.mywebsite.com!>

Eventually I thought it can be a coz of penalty for the page if google notice it!

So what u experienced SEO experts are doing??

Thanks for great replies............

  • wouldnt it be better to just create case studies with screenshots of the website in its position on google before and after you optimized it??

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.............. Really I am a fool!!!!! I was thinking more complex thing while I have this easy way available!

However I think there are some more reliable methods certainly. I mean clients can be skeptical about my Graphics Design skill..!

Maybe I am over simplifying, but I just tell them what I have done. If they don't believe me, I don't want to work with them anyway. I don't walk into my doctor's office and ask for proof that he has cured anyone.

Yes. I agree a portfolio with case studies and particular examples would be the best way to present your work to clients.

@MikeFriedman U are quite right. But its tough to earn trust of clients for newbies like me.

Then rank your own sites first. If they want to see proof, you can show them that.

        It's easy.

If they're calling you, most know they have trouble.

Just do a case study of before / after.

I'm sure there will be results you can show him.

I highly doubt that. Many high exposure websites have random footprint crap in the HTML and especially in the JS for comments.

Just sign your first name at the bottom of your blog comment or whatever you're doing and save a list of link you'v built in a spreadsheet.

Yeah Mike is right. I was thinking about my personal website or a blog page.

After sleeping overnight now I got another Idea. A developer can leave his footprint in the webpage and google will not mind for this. So after onpage optimization I can put my webpage url as comment. If google follow my URL they will see my website where I am offering website template creating service to SEO and link building services. I think google dont know what I have done. Web development or SEO. Isnt it a good solution?
