I am trying to use adsense on my site. And I am targeting health and drugs etc.

i am thinking of using adverts from adsense such as Weight loss etc.

is there any way to predict the money i can expect to earn within a month?

Using market samurai it says the maximum potential monthly clicks for number 1 for the term is 11k.
SEOTCR is only 2.68% and there is a domain name available with the keyword density 100%

Is this good for adsense?

If you need any more info please ask!

    Wadey,

You're tackling a very competitive area. If you're targeting specific diseases or drugs, you will expend a whole lot of energy trying to rank for those terms.

What you should do is try to spin off some long tail search terms, and not tackle such competitive areas head on. You can be very strategic and funnel off some traffic to get you established, then expand.

I blogged about this sometime back - Target Niche Development and Strategic SEO.

You can also pick up a DIY Guide for Internet Marketing if you want to get an understanding of the basics as well. It's been a while since I've revisited the guide, but it should spell out most of the basics for you.

Try not to be a bull in a China shop. Concentrate on some easy areas first, build your experience, develop your techniques and then expand.

Market Samurai will give you that information or the paid version of Wordtracker even better.

You should concentrate on posting tons of content on your site each one optimized for one or two in your keyword list. To make adsense work effectively, you need lots of traffic and having a quality authority site will help get you higher in the search results and at the same time be fed relevant ads from Google.

So how come I see many other adsense sites near the top of google which are only around 7 months old attracting $50 a month? I mean I'm happy with that amount to start with, they only have around 5 pages, yet are covered in adsense?

    EDIT:

I tried the Intitle and InURL on a keyword I think is good, and it came back with 966 results. It has a local exact amount of searches at 3,600. CPC is £0.66

It really depends on the site / niche and keywords. There's so many factors that come into play.

If these are MFA (made for Adsense) sites, they may be sites that are ranking now but will be nailed by Google later on.

It's not as easy as people think about building a site, ranking it and making money from it. Yes, I know it works and have been successful at it. But there has to be still some long term strategy for a continued revenue stream.

The rinse & repeat approach is a lot of effort early on (IMHO).
