I was thinking of buying Clickbump since I am always on the lookout for higher CTR themes. It seems to me though that all the templates violate the Google Adsense Guidelines by having the 336x280 box right under the site title with no text wrapping.

Another look at optimizations - Inside AdSense

So if you have a site basically with any name relevant to the ads and then you put the box right underneath, as the link above clearly states you would be fooling people into thinking the links are part of your website. I mean the examples of what not to do look exactly like all the clickbump themes. Anyone have any insight into this. Seems a bit risky.

It's not against TOS, as it does not imply that the ads are not ads. That rule simply means you can't suggest that they're not ads. Plus, there's an option to put some text in between them anyway.

Hi DP, the ClickBump Ads Manager, accessible via the CE4 theme options panel, has a variety of options for wrapping ads with text (left and right), placing a spacer rule between the title and the ads, as well as placing the post excerpt under the title and above the ads.

You can even enter a number of pixels that you want to use to lower the ads into the content area, further separating them from the post title, if you desire. However, most find that unnecessary with all the other placement and Ad buffer options that the CE4 theme allows.

So there is a vast amount of control you have over the placement of ads in relation to the post titles and surrounding text.

In the two and a half years I've been publishing this system, I've not had one single customer tell me that their account has been banned, or even warned, for non compliance with Adsense TOS in relation to Ad placement.

    Hope this helps!
