You could probaby look some fiverr gigs where you could increase your visitors by twitter or some other paid traffic methods.

If you using google analytics, you can try the Website Optimizer: Experiment. Basically you test different content, headlines and see which works best.

I would start tagging your site using programs like del.icio.us or clipmarks. These types of social bookmarking sites really help increase traffic.

I mean all the tips mentioned are great and can help you get better but as you said you are looking to be at 15000 from 6000 in 30 days, it's almost 3 times your current traffic.

What I would suggest is create a nice report on your niche's problem that can really help people in your niche. As soon as they close the browser, use a pop up to offer that bribe when they share your site on facebook, twitter and GOOGLE+.

By doing this you ill get massive traffic from social media, it will improve rankings in serps because one of the factor google considers during rankings is how many people are sharing your content with their social networks.

And guess what your problem of high bounce rate is also solved because now your visitors now visit at least two pages on your site.

And THE BIGGET advantage of this would be you will start generating list of your target audience. I mean ask them to email you once they share your link on facebook, twitter and google + for free bribe so now you also got their email address...

i get 10000 visitors daily and maximum of these are from social networking sites and mostly from facebook , just crete a page asap and run a page for your sites if you get fans on your page thn post your link on wall , and its spider process so friend of your friends sometimes also click on your site URL , and u will get visitors

Make strategy again and work on those area which give you more traffic and if your strategy is good then you can get your target easily.

I'd recommend taking a gamble on reddit.com. I've tried to use the service before to get more traffic to my site with mixed results. My most busy traffic day is due to them, but that was three days before I was banned from the site. Give it a try, but the redditing monster is angry, and tolerates little doody.

Another idea is to have some on site advertising. you have a very location specific niche. If you have about 70 bucks extra, you should publish some paper ads for your site.

I don't know from where you are getting this traffic. But may be if you improve your SERP, you can get more visitors. Try some SEO services.

Since you've got 6,000 visitors per day, you must know those traffic generation tricks, what you need to do is do much more work! It's all about the numbers. As to the bounce rate, well, add more quality contents and make your website more visitor-friendly might help. For example, after I added the "Related Post" plugin to my blog, the bounce rate down a lot immediately.

There's no way to double or triple visitors without the rootcasue. I will talk this into 2 options:

It wont be easy but it's very achievable, if you need help, I think there are sites where you can post the job and let someone with experience do the job. I hope that helps

sorry to be the one to say this but you can't be getting 6000 visitors a day to your website. What stats is that on? One of my sites gets around 10,000 visitors a month and it is about 35,000 on the alexa ranking, your site is 170,000 on the US alexa ranking.

If you were getting 6000 a day you would probably be a lot higher on the alexa ranking, certainly a lot higher than my site which is 35,000.

If you are looking at stats I suggest you use google analytics and not the stats you see inside your hosting account, they won't be accurate and will show things like bots, crawls etc and not actual human traffic.

If you meant 6000 visitors a month then thats fair enough

YouTube is very powerful. UTOBC mentioned that he had 100 visitors a day being referred from YouTube. I'm seeing this method working for me as well.

Did you know that that area is 48% spanish speaking?

I would add spanish translations for the site and bring attention to it.

Also, like most other places, that area is infested with cell phone useage. I would also concider added mobile capabilities to the site and register the site with the proper mobile directories.

For your kind of site, I would say reach out to the entertainment and music crowd..

I would recommend MySpace and Twitter.

Also since you are focused on news and events in your area, why not write press releases about these events and submit them to press release sites and local news outlets. Do not stop until your stories get picked up by local newspapers and journalists who consume these press releases.

Whatever strategies did you use to get 6000 visitors per day? Use those same and scale them up. Its better to stick to methods which are working and which you are good at than trying out new things which may or may not work for you.
