Question about Adwords

I haven't used Adwords for quite a while and I'm seriously considering putting some serious funds into it again.

I just want to know Adwords policies with affiliates, I'm hearing things that you can no longer direct link to affiliate links (yes, it was that long ago since I used my Adwords account).

How about pointing to a landing page with an affiliate link, would that destroy your quality score?

What if you cloak your affiliate link to point to a page with a PHP redirect (ala Google Sniper /go/product-name type of redirect)? Would that increase your quality score a bit?

I'm hearing things that your Adwords account may get banned if you promote affiliate links at all, with a landing page or not. Can someone confirm this?

Thank you very much.

might be best to do a quick scan of the rules http://adwords.google.com/support/aw...e=1316546&rd=1

wrong you can direct link all day every day as direct linking is OK, if you think about it every link is a direct link to where it needs to go the affiliate code makes no difference.

where people go wrong is where your linking to, if it's a single / thin land page that has no user value , the product / service or any other part does not meet G guidelines then it will be slammed.

many click bank and CPA offers all fall short of googles guidelines so in many ways they will not cut it / some still do but a few only.

as above landing page ? does it meet googles guidelines thats first , quality score would probably not rest to much on the link but would involve other factors such as your ad, keyword on page set up and ctr as an example.

? what are you thinking here / that will not wash the destination and display URL must read from the same page, redirect will not float your boat.

what gets people banned is people not following G guidelines / G still has information to assist affiliates that may help you

Well all those TOS says that CB and CPA products are not allowed. But there are few people already doing it.
better to test and try. get failed. try again . and again and again. Success comes that way

  • Honestly, adwords are great but I've found that by doing keyword research has been the best foundation for my success. I use programs like Google's Keyword tool, Market Samurai, Traffic Travis, Keyword Winner (wordpress plugin) and I've managed to make a lot of money from Google Adsense.

If you know what you're doing, don't pay for adwords.
