Please help me - outsourcing backlinking is not working

Hi I have gone through 15+ persons (100+ applications) on oDESK and I can't seem to get any decent work completed:

Article spinning / submitting - very badly spun content contractors produce and often they just spin 1 article (poorly) and submit the same spin to different places = lots of duplicate content.

Blog / forum commenting - very poor comments like "this was great post" etc and very low success % of comment approval. I have to pay for several hours of work to get few approved comments which are often those blogs with 30+ comments already and low PR.

and so on...

Could the warriors please help me by telling me how I can get backlinks to my website? Am I just unlucky with contractors? Is oDESK low quality? There is another higher quality place? (I am not interested in those 1 time purchase magical success packages)

Thanks.

Blog commenting is usually left out for those who know how to use Sb.

I used to blog comment but the chances of finding valuable links have slowly decreased now that everyone just spams dumb things on blogs.

It costs money to get good backlinks, if you want what you can do is make a job posting where you state that you will only PAY once it is aproved.

Make sure also that things are dripped over periods of time, and if the person you got can get things done right, then detail him/her to do only 30-40 backlinks a day and just pay monthly. This way your SERPS increase due to consistency.

    Hope this helps,
    regZ

P.S. I forgot to spam you, to click on my link and why you should take my services

Excuse me regz I will didagree with every point you made except where you suggested to use your services.
I am doing blog commenting my approval rate is 90% all comments are from reputable blogs free of spam and many of them are dofollow quality backilinks with anchor text it just depends on how you do what you do. One should never ever go for paid links in my humble opinion.

To thread started: Most of the SEO workers on odesk are from Pakistan or India and I have very good idea how they work because I also belong from this region. Most of the workers use software for almost everything which mess up with you link building moreover those guys have very weak english skills. One must conduct a test whenever hire an odesk worker

This is a clear indication that you should build your back-links yourself instead of hiring someone. Based on my own experience I would suggest you to lean away from Article spinning because the article will still be not as unique as you may want it to be. This will result your site getting links from duplicate content. And those links that you get from those spun articles are going to be low-quality. There is a recent a update that was implemented by Google which is known as the Google Panda update, it's really cracking down on those kind of articles.

It's time for you to start focusing on submitting unique content because the links those links tend to be high-quality which is recommend by Google. When building back-links the most important thing is the links quality not the links quantity.

To answer your question, there various methods that you use to build back-links. You've already used two of them, but why not do them yourself manually?

You can also do forum posting which can be quite effective, but as you know that forum is a place that people come to learn and to share what they've learned, if you want to use forum as a way to build back-links at least you should do your very best to do that in a helpful ways.

It is hard to find somebody reliable.
"you can introduce some conditions in your job posting like
The PR of blogs should be high
    The Comments should be approved
and the candidate must able to do at least 10 blog comments in an hour"
Also include a sentence at the Top that only apply if you can do this job, also ask for some sample posts.
And ask candidates to submit an Customize Job application or your application would be marked as spam.

After doing all this i hope that you will find some professional at odesk.com

Building backlinks really require dedication and commitment these are the qualities that you should find in a person to whom you outsource link building to. Odesk i believe is not low quality the problem maybe is that you haven't found the right person yet. When you post your job opening set some parameters that they should follow where violation of such parameter would constitute a violation to your contract thus you wouldn't have to pay them unless they have rectified their errors.

I would say this, before hiring test them.Like ask them to build links for 5 days or 10 days or whatever you decide. And if the work done is satisfying keep him if not kick him.

i found good forum posters from freelancer.com. If you want quality, increase pay and work with outsourcers from only usa or uk.

I agree with @ warriorseo first give them a test. Before selecting i send 2 different sites to each poster and ask them to make 1 post per forum.

A good back linking strategy includes forum profile links, social bookmarking, blog commenting and article marketing. With manual work you could also for forum posting. These are all effective if used in the correct manner and not randomly.

      Hello,

Outsource back linking to a company rather than freelancer, more accountability. We have an offshore office in India and everything happens quite smoothly there, just no worries. We found them on scriptlance, though i do not recommend that site very highly, these guys are good.

I would say article spinning, social bookmarking, classified ad posting, are good ways. Also PR submissions and blog marketing are quite effective. If you want to do it yourself, try imautomator, its is a free social bookmarking tool, reasonably good.

If you want references, let me know, can give some.

      Cheers!

    Thanks.

How long did you try for? How did you measure success?

Your duplicate content comment does not apply. Duplicate content is an Onsite SEO issue. Same copies of content on different website is called Syndication. Its not penalized. Ezine and a few others want original content for other reasons, like to stand apart from competitors.

Blog and Forum comments have been dead for a long time. Very rarely do they work to any success. Good blogs are moving to Facebook comments sections which is better for everyone involved.

    As for your outsourcing issues:
You usually get what you pay for. If you go looking for really cheap services you get really cheap quality in return. There are right ways and cheap ways to get your SEO done. Do as much research as you can before spending your money.

If you want to talk about outsourcing your SEO give me a PM and we can see if we can find a fit for your site that meets your requirements and your budgets.

I would suggest that you first learn to do this yourself, it really isn't difficult.

      Try this for starters:-

First install SEO quake plugin, (it's free) this will show you your results according to PR rank

Then head over to Google and search any of these codes with keyword replacing ‘keyword’ with your niche keywords.

keyword "mail (will not be published)"
      keyword "powered by wordpress"
      keyword "enable commentluv"
keyword "leave a reply" keyword "leave a comment"
keyword "notify me of follow up comments" "top commenters"

Your will not find an increase in search engine rankings if your links are from low PR blogs. Many outsources will use this strategy when selling on backlinks. There is much software out there that provide this info extremely easy but it's not of any real value as the search engines don't see it.

You need backlinks from a high autority (high PR) sites. The links will still count and greatly help in your search engine rankings. You're looking for that HEAVY HITTER Backlinks!

Once you have determined what sites have a high PR rank within your chosen keywords start posting there. If you can post an article with your keywords great, or on a directory that's related to your content, you can't fail to drive traffic your way.

Of course there are many methods but this is by far the easiest to get started. If you are outsourcing demand that you only have links from at least PR 2 sites. Having 2000 links from low ranked sites can be more harmful than you think, may end up getting your site 'sandboxed'!

      Good luck

Ok, here's my shameless plug....I do offer my VA's to work for others, so check out my blog if you want pricing.

Odesk is not bad quality. May be you have hired someone who have got limited ideas of of those works. I am a oDesk contractor and I am doing such SEO works for a long time and my employers are very happy with my services. You should hire someone who has got good command in English and can make relevant comments on blogs. Use other tactics, like directory submission, bookmarking. These are also very good ways to get some high quality backlinks.
