As i have read from the post. Every body talks about the edu or gov site. And create backlinks from them. But i am not able to understand what which kind of backlinks.
1 Profile backlinks
2 forum posts/ signature backlinks
3 blog comments

So please tell me or all of above backlinks have equal effect when it is an edu/gov site.
Thanks

Not sure what you are trying to say...

But I'll try to do my best in answering this: EDU and GOV domains have
higher authority to sites - They're definitely one of the best links to have
around, but they aren't a must.

edu - Stands for "education" & is found on education related sites with the domain extension .edu

gov - Stands for "government" & is found in government sites with the domain extension .gov

These sites are looked at as more trusted sites in the eyes of Google & links from them are said to carry more weight – help increase your search engine ranking position.

Personally I don’t bother with them as they’re usually just forum profile links which in my opinion are crap.

Forum posting with signature and forum profile are helpful but not that
some people may think. Most of the forum pages even those that are
really old and indexed several years ago, are pr N/A or pr0. You can
        experiment this for yourself.

Situations are a little better for blogs. If you want a good backlink,
I think one of the best way is to encourge bloggers and webmasters to
copy your contents with a link (inside the content) back to your site.

People are mad about them most likely because they read all the hype on the sales pages from people trying to sell .edu & .gov back link packages.

The domain extension does not increase or decrease your search engine ranking position with the exeption of a geo location such as .uk

Links from a site with a .edu or .gov extension does not automaticaly mean it's better than a link from a .com or .net domain.

But people selling .edu & .gov links want you to beleive different

I am not going to buy any of them. I just take them if they are special .

How does one really get a legitimate edu and gov links? isn't it that you must be connected to the site (like you being a site administrator for the gov or edu) before you can link to them?
