Sites with only 1 Post

Hey, What you think about sites(product review sites), that only has 1 post in there? And the post/article is quality ~1000 word and is 100% unique. Does it affect rankings when i have more than 1 article in my site? Or can i leave it like that?

  • for short term projects you could have success with it.

    Howver if you're looking for a long term project then you really should add more unique content to that site, as Google is looking for valuable and regularly updated content.

  • It is effective in affiliate websites where too many posts can bore the visitors. But definitely it will not get higher ranking as the content is very limited. Search engines always looks for regularly updated sites and bring them up.

    • Squidoo lenses are an example of what actually is a 1 post site. And
      many can rank very well. I know, in your context, bad example.

      But you narrow your rankings. By adding more content, you enhance
      your visibility on the net and pick up some longer tail related keywords
      and phrases. Do this a lot, and you could end up with an authority site.

  • As a landing page, it will be good but you have to work hard to rank it higher. However adding constant content will give you good impact in SERP.
