New site bouncing in SERPs?

When people say that new sites bounce around the SERPs, are they refering to the age of the domain or when the content was actually submitted to the site.

For example, if you bought a domain in January, but didn't build the site until August, would this site less likely to bounce around the SERPs than if you bought the domain in August and also built the site in Augest.

I ask, because I built some sites recently and I bought the domains in March, so I was wondering if they are less likely to do the Google Dance as they aren't brand new domains.

  • They are referring to when the content was actually submitted to the site and indexed.
In my experience new sites always bounce in SERPS.
Sites aged more than a year remains stable.
Haven't played with sites that are less than a year old.

    • In my opinion when we update the site, the search engine visit the site and index and ranked the site also. But after some period site ranking gone. It happen due to search engine give the preference to other websites content and backlink. Means in a short period search engine give the weightage to our site as our site is new one and content also fresh one. To avoid this bouncing try to get backlink for new site or the page on which you make updation.
