How do I up my google ranking for little money?

If someone types in a specific service and location in google I want to be in the top 3 results. At the moment I'm on like the fifth page. What can I do to get higher up the ranking for a small budget? :confused:

what you can do is get some high PR backlinks to your website. You can go onto fiver and get someone to get you high quality backlinks to your site. This should improve your rankings and it's really cheap.

Write content, get backlinks and take your time to read and learn about on site SEO.

After you optimize your site fo SEO, it's pretty much all about backlinks...

  Exactly. My one business is in a very competitive market - wedding favors. For my primary keyword, wedding favor bookmarks, I have four starred results on Google right at the top and I'm in #2 position on page one right underneath a 9 year old PR4 business. I've been trying to "beat" her out for the last two years and I think if I can "sneak" up on her and ride her coattails in just two years, I'm doing pretty good.
  
  Her site - over 6,000 pages of content. Mine - about 80 right now plus my blog. And I'm only a PR1 and PR2 as of today.
  
  I'm also on page one in a variety of positions for many of my main keywords beating out some other aged top wedding favor sites too.
  
  1. Content, content and more content. Use PLR if you have to but give it a good work over before putting it on your site.
  
  2. Content submission - I use FreeTrafficSystem.com in addition to a couple of top directories so I get some blog posts as well as article directories.
  
  3. Backlinks. Not link exchanges either. I removed my "link farm" directory from my site, even though they were all related to my industry, and I actually noticed an improvement in my ranking. I only kept a few choice Resources that had my link on their site in a prominent position.
  
  4. Blog comments - from BOTH nofollow and dofollow. And forum participation in forums that have to do with your niche.
  
  5. Twitter
  6. Social bookmarks
  7. Facebook
  
  It all adds up. But if you're building an authority site and you're doing it with free traffic, it will take some time so you pretty much just have to be patient (which is definitely NOT one of MY virtues), and stick to some kind of a schedule.

depending on your keywords/competition you can still get cheap clicks from google adwords and the results are instant... don't need to wait for 6 months for your SEO to take effect

Welcome to the WF!

Building PR is either going to take time and hard work on a limited budget, or you might be able to get a boost with some well thought out and well placed solo ads. These do NOT have to be outrageously expensive, but generally come more naturally after you've made some sales the hard way.

Keep adding quality content on a regular basis! Otherwise, you can pick up some clues looking at what the hgher ranked website are doing that you aren't! Not so much the layout and eye-candy as the source code and their strategies and tactics. (That's not always obvious, though.)

What kind of time frame are we talking here?

  Just a tip...When I purchased BTF, I followed Kellys SEO to the letter.
  
  My first site took 1 1/2 hrs. to set up was indexed in about a week. A week and a half later went to a #1 ranking on all 3 SERPS, and stayed there for 3 months with 0 backlinking.This was a test site in a very competitive market.
  
  So.....it does not always take that long....if you learn to do things right and practice, practice, practice.

First, make sure your on page SEO is done correctly and with unique content
in place.

Then get some high PR backlinks to you site, either manually or
there are some reputable services for a good price that
will be glad to assist you.

I think keyword competition plays a part also. If you hold a highly competitive keyword that is used by existing high PR sites that have already done a lot of seo, it would take so much more effort to get ranked. Perhaps you can take a look at your competitors and see what they are well with and try to do it better then them.

You seem to have nailed the exact reason many folks are posting on this forum. They are here for no reason other than to spam this forum with their signature links. The typical modus operandi is to post a generic question with signature links in place, and to then follow up with more useless answers that include links to the other websites they are promoting. I am convinced that the bulk of these are placed by forum spambots that do the exact same thing across many forums creating fake user accounts on a massive scale.

There is no need to spend money on improving your rankings just update your blog at regular intervals and ping it. Get backlinks from webpages with exact keyword your trying to rank for.

Make sure you get a link back through anchor text (your keyword).

Write articles and post it on blogs relevant to your niche with a link pointing back to your website.

Contribute on forums and add your url to the signature.

Directory listing is quality directories are sure to boost your ranking, get a link from the right category so you get better ranking.

Google has a specific algorithm for how they rank the ads for how they will be shown on their search website. it depends on the quality, the performance, and the amount you bid. of course, you will not pay more than you need to so your bid price may be above the actual price you pay to be shown.

For me that works the best is go to the number one page and see who is on it,,, if there are any articles written or videos done about what your trying to promote then you have a chance to get on the first page of Google. This is what you do,,, write your own articles about your product or niche, just make sure that you have a longer article than the one that is on the first page already. Also if there is a video on the first page do a video explaining your product also but just make sure its longer that the one on the first page. Just do about 5 different articles and videos and you should be able to bump to the first page. Hope this help..
