Hi Guys Backlink Really work or not??
I have a website Which is 20 Google back link and i am standing in 5th position but my competitor site have only 6 back link but he is standing in 2nd how it is possible??
So this is the main reason of this thread if this is possible then what are the reason of this unfurtunte think i really wanna know what he is doing with it? why he is upto me and why iam down??

Well, Dude! nice question, I had faced once before.
1 PR 4 back links is 100 PR0 back links. So see how your 20 back links...

Google ranking is based on over 200 signals. The number of links is just one of them. In any case if you had 1 high quality, super relavent PR10 link you could rank higher than a website with 100,000 dodgey links. It is much more complicated than just number of links.

5 and 6 links is a ver, very low number. I would guess your site is new and you are ranking against a low volume Keyterm. Keep building links and you will improve

Google ranking is based on many factors, so continue your seo works that helps ranking.

Back links are important but your actual ranking would depend on a lot more factors like page structure, content, website size etc. etc. etc.

  First of all, Google never really shows you all of your backlinks. He might have 300, but they are only showing 6.
  
  Second, the quality of the backlinks is also important. If yours are all PR 0 and PR n/a sites, while his are PR 2's and 3's, he will be ahead of you for a long time.

Always remember high pr sites give more benefit than low pr sites.May be Your competitor has got the high pr sites backlink.

Backlinking really work but you also need a high pr site. It's never just one thing that makes you successful. Remember you need to optimize and make your page relevant to users also.
