Is there a way to ad web 2.0 style tags to basic php webpages?

We have a huge site of basic php pages - over 3,000 pages.
This was before we discovered Joomla. :-(

We are using Phil Taylors "Joomla Tags" on our Joomla
sites which allows us to have web 2.0 tagging functionality
on the sites.

Is there something similar for regular html/php pages?

I'm not looking for semantic tagging applications - just
regular tagging like one would do on a wordpress
blog.

Hi Paul,

Both Joomla and Wordpress is written in PHP, so yes, you can do the same things with regular PHP pages.

If you analyze the code in Joomla or Wordpress you will see exactly how they do it. If coding isn't your thing, then hire a PHP programmer. Since those CMS platforms use plain old PHP you can do anything they do.

You'll still need to come up with the tags for all those pages.
What actually are you trying to do? I've got some code lying around that may be helpful.

  Thanks to both of you. I'll follow up a bit later.
  
  I just want to be able to add tags to the pages to allow the content to be found by people by relevant keywords that aren't directly on the page but that are relevant to the page.
  
  We are finding that we are picking up significant extra traffic on the Joomla sites from doing that.
