PR Update Today

Seems Google updated the PR again today. One of my sites went from 0 to 2 in the past hour or so. Must of literally just done it as I checked it few hours back and it was at 0.

Check your sites.

Pretty strange as thats what? 3 PR updates in 4 or so months now? If that.

  • Ouch you are right. One of my sites dropped from PR4 to PR2 overnight.

  • I've seen the same - All positive for new sites
  • Yeah most of the pages on one of my sites went from 0 or n/a up to 1.
  • To be honest... I couldn't give a monkey's uncles.

    All I care about is where my site ranks and of course... My bottom line.

  • There is no change in my site's rank. The page rank for site is zero for last six months. I think it will be forever for my site.
  • I'm guessing this is what their prior update was supposed to do. They updated, rolled back, then updated again. At least they didn't give themselves PR9 again.

    Whats this, 3 in the last month? Geeze! I wonder if this is the new norm for Google. I'm actually hoping so, I'd love to watch PR updates at quicker intervals, it would really help tell what kinda links pass what sort of linkjuice easier.
  • I can see another pr change on one of my sites, that was a quick update! I like to track the seomoz score with open site explorer more now.

    • Relatively new to this area of the web. I was under the impression this was a quarterly thing from Google to update PR from reading this forum. Had some very good results, one of my sites went from 0 to PR 4
  • Just stayed the same. That's good enough I guess.
  • I have a 6 month old site that went from pr0 to pr1 during the last updates - HOME PAGE ONLY.

    Now my site just jumped to a pr3, on almost every inner page on the entire site, contact us, testimonials and every other inner page that has no links or anything...weird. Even posts that I just added a few weeks ago.

    Actually the only pages that didn't get any pagerank are the category pages (and there's only like 3 of them), which I don't really care about anyways.

    Bottom line - Me likey :-)!!

    • Me too man, was just taking a look through and all of my inner pages which have good content on, which is nearly every one, are also PR2 with some at PR1. Very pleased.

      I was also going through some of my old backlinks on forum posts (not here obviously), and some of the threads I commented on months ago have gone to PR3 and 4 :O .
  • I registered a domain about a month ago; it is a PR5 now!

    • It's so easy! I have this on automatic pilot.

      The site is one I created for my doctor on Wordpress registered the domain and installed WP about a month ago. I then used my secret PR method (don't ask) and Boom! From n/a to PR5.

      If you PM me I can send you the URL but you have to promise not to give out the URL to anyone...because it is my doctors site.

  • Yup. There's definitely been an update.

    I'm liking the frequent updates though. PR is not the be-all-end-all. But it's nice to know where you stand more than once or twice a year.

  • Only two of my sites changed, one site went from up to PR1 and another went from PR1 to PR0.

    • I noticed you are an SEO provider in your user title. I really don't want my backlinks spammed with all your stuff.

      If a reputable member here wants to verify my claims I will be more than happy to give username and password and URL to them. Just don't be an SEO provider, can you blame me for not wanting my backlinks spammed?

  • WOW I checked two sites I made within the last month, that I got some blogroll links to and they are both PR3, that wasn't hard at all!!

    I am actualy pretty surprised, some sites I have been putting a lot of money into for "quality linkbuilding" are still only PR1
