Can Publishers Opt Out Of AdChoices?

Hi,

I was curious if Adsense site publishers could opt out of the AdChoices so that it only shows ads that relate to the subject of the site rather than based partly on the viewing interests of the searcher. i know the searcher can opt out but I have concerns that this is not good for Adsense site publishers who will now have ads that are not exactly relevant to teh site. Now, sure it may tell them about dog training assuming they have a dog, but I would think that would hurt someone's overall revenue who has a site build on say sailboats for example.

Anybody know if you can opt out of this stuff. Seems like the publisher should have this choice.

adchoices is the industry standard for what basically is a privacy
policy. You can't opt out of adchoices no more than you can
refuse to put a privacy policy on your site. Because the
online ad industry was about to get slammed, probably with laws
and internet restrictions, they had to do the only thing they could.

Your privacy policy allows visitors to opt out of ads completely.
What would google think if you didn't like this and refused to put
that privacy policy on your page?

If you look around, you will see that button across the internet on
    a variety of ads.

Adchoices is to protect google, not you. You don't have to run
    their ads.
