Hi guys hopefully someone here can help me.

I have one adsense site that ive been building. Ive been using a wordpress theme that was given in the 100kAdsense program.

When I was setting my site up I was told to enter my adsense publishing id in the theme options. They said to make sure that you enter it as
'pub-xxxxxxxxxxx'. I did that when I set the site up but no ads were appearing. So I edited the theme options so the adsense ID read 'xxxxxxxxxxx' (without the 'pub-').

Ads appeared straight away on the site and I left it like that for the past few weeks. But today I have realised on my adsense account that my ads on that site have not receieved any hits, while my analytics tell me Ive been getting daily traffic.

I have changed my publisher ID on the theme options back to 'pub-xxxxxxxxxx' and the ads have gone again.

If anyone could tell me whether I need to do something in my adsense account so that it can start recording hits to my website that would be so great.

Or if anyone has used the Zone theme and can point out something I have missed.

Thanks a lot guys

It may just be that the visitors that you have had to your site so far haven't clicked on your adsense ads. Only a small proportion of people that visit your site are going to actually click on the ads.

Having said this, I haven't used the Zone theme before so it may well be something to do with this.

I would change the code back so that you can see the ads on your site and unless someone knows of a problem with adsense on this theme, wait to see if some of your visitors click your ads.

but what ive found is that my adsense account is showing hits to my blogs and other web pages that have adsense ads on them. They are showing impressions even when they arent getting clicked.

I just don't know why adsense isnt recording the impressions to my new site

A site can get plenty of hits and not get many clicks. For example, one of my sites got about 2,500 views last month and earned just over $3.

Adsense pays per click, not impression.
