I don't know what happened but my post was not seen to people. So here it is again...

Ok, I've been reading about back links to back links on this forums. Let me see if I get this correctly.

1) I have a brand new site
2) I wrote an article and publsihed it on Ezine, ArticleBase, Squidoo, etc.
3) Article has a link to my site
4) I comment on blogs and in website URL put URL of articles & Lenses
5) The articles and lenses start ranking on their own and therefore strengthen the links.

I hope I got this correctly

Here is my question. Since Squidoo for example has a very High PR, the PR of domain will filter out to my lens which will in turn start ranking faster than my website and will eventually outrank it.

Let's say the keyword is "dog training help". If I write an article according to SEO (keyword in the title, keyword in the first sentence & bold, keyword repeating 3 times in the first paragraph) then I will be competing against myself. Is it a better idea to include "dog training help" keyword in my site but NOT include that keyword in articles. Therefore, the lens or article will be ranking for a different keyword but the strength of the page itslef will strengthen the link to my home page whcih in turn ranks for "dog training help".

Please help me understand this concept.

If your squidoo page gets page 1 on google and your site is on page 1 of google; then you have doubled the content on page 1 of google that you own.

i have some keywords where almost the entire page 1 of google (nine out of ten sites) are all mine. sure they are "competing against" each other, but I don't mind at all.

Just go for it. it works and with internet marketing being so competitive, outranking yourself with YOUR OWN lens is not that bad.

And as the lens get more link juice (because you are backlinking to the lens), it will carry more link juice over to your site (because your lens backlinks to your site).

btw- I suggest that the article on your site and the article on the lens are different, so its not duplicate content.

also, i predict that with more focus on your site than on your lens, that your site will be ranked higher on google's SERPs than the lens.

lastly, for #4) when commenting on blogs, you can put your site url there too (its primarily how i do it).

    best of luck, Dmitry
