Hi all... I have a question about keywords. I have used Google's AdWords, Wordtracker and a few other online seo tool options. For some reason, I am not getting this keyword thing.

I do email marketing and advertising. I have optimized my website for such, but the competition is brutal, they are beating the bejesus out me!

This are the keywords I am using on my index page:
email marketing,
mobile email advertising,
advertising,
marketing,
mocialCan someone please, take a look at those keywords and help me find relevant, less competitive keyword options? Thank you so much!

  • Try to think of smaller groups of people within all those categories or add words to the phrase.
    For example: email marketings
Putting "email marketing" into the google keyword tool shows it gets 110,000 global exact searches. If you look at some of the other phrases you'll find some with less competition but still some decent traffic such as "email marketing services", "email marketing lists", "email marketing solution".
  • Thanks for the reply. I was also thinking, how about registering a couple of domain names with the key words instead and have the domain permanent forward "301" ... instead of concentrating on keywords? Witch method would be more effective?
  • on my part i should concentrating on keywords.. If you have a useful keywords it can your site crawl easily.
  • They are properly competitive keywords. Try to concentrate on relavent variations with less traffic they will be easier to rank for and add up to similar traffic eventually. Then when you dominate you can go for the big ones.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I have gone through short research for your business key phrases and i have found ample amount of key phrase which can bring you sales conversion once you will be on top.

    "email marketing solution"
    "email marketing services"
    "email marketing company"
    "cheap email marketing"
  • these are extremely competitive keywords!
    "advertising"
    "marketing"

As mentioned above- try using long tail keywords with less competition.
  • Does your domain include any of these keywords? It should. The above advice is correct, use longtail keywords, choose the ones closely related to what exactly you do. You can create different pages and optimize each of them for different keywords (1 to 3 for a page). Use keywords in title, in h1 and in bold text on the pages.
  • you need to search for some more focused keywords. the ones you picked was too broad/general and very competitive. you should focus on some 4-5 phrase keyphrases with decent traffic about 1000-5000 a month.
