SEO to main page with Press release

Hi Guys

I'm thinking about doing either the $200 Prweb service, or spending that on SEO backlinking service? Which do you think is better?

Also, while I know each individual page has its own ranking, I assume that by sending backlinks to the main page, some of that page rank juice will filter through to my sub pages?

Many thanks
Phil

I am a fan of PR web and have had very good results in the past by using their service. It is very safe and "white hat" There are many things you could do with $200 though.

It is interesting that you mention white hat becasue if you read Google's own guide on websites, traffic, seo etc, they say you shouldn't pay for links to your site (as in standard backlinking), but like you said, something like a press release is different.

The funny thing though, so many people have done well with buying backlink services, and swear that backlinking is pretty much the only thing you need to worry about as far as SEO is concerned.

I'm also interested in the topic. We use press release since it's a white hat technique and it provides some links, but it's not enough

No doubt Prweb service is good. But if you are thinking of seo with solely prweb it is no going to make you happy as by my previous experience. If you are after media coverage and wanna create buzz for your site then go for it.

For seo purpose just use alternative services which will write a good PR and manually submit to related top 50-100 free press release sites and guaranteed give you almost 20-50 press release submitted URLs only for 50- 80 bucks and spend rest of money for other marketing. It will drive you more seo juice and it is also white hat.

    Hope it helps!

Yeah, very helpful thanks. I think if you have the money, then of course having press releases as PART of your overall SEO efforts would be great, but if having to make a choice, it seems linking services might be better, if done correctly of course.

Is the purpose to get sales directly, reputation management, image building, or what?
