ok this question is for all of my ppc experts.

I was going through my adwords account pretty much looking for ways to suck more traffic out of my keywords. while keeping everything relevant.

so i pretty much did away with exact type because its just too specific and the traffic was low.

so i figured phrase match would be the best of both worlds.

but i was wondering what is the best way to optimize broad match keywords? i could use broad match and then throw in a billion negative keywords but is that beneficial?

for instance if i use "online business" as a broad match and somebody searches for online apartments my ad might show up and thats not cool. especially if they click on the link because the probability of them taking the action i want them to take would be low, because the ad wasn't for them and neither will the landing page.

so how do you guys optimize broad match keywords?

Use their new Enhanced Broad Match. I'm not quite sure how it works but I know that it works

So if your phrase for example is "Rich Jackson" then the way you enter the same phrase but in Enhanced Broad Match is:

    +Rick +Jackson

    Hope this helps.
