    no

ad a Hq to the end of it or E to the front of it. You want it to be as close to the keyword as possible
  • why not add a hyphen into the middle as well? I have done this in many cases and it still helps. The emd will give you a boost, and if it is not, then you dont get just a high a boost. But you do get something in keeping as close as you possibly can.

I wouldn't get too hung up on it, pick something and get onto your content creation and SEO factors

    Si..
  • If you can add an "s" or "es" to the end of the word to pluralise so it still makes sense then that is your best option. Doesn't look spammy at all and has smallest effect on the domain name.
  • I would take a look at the Google Keyword Tool and see if there are other 'buyer' keywords that can be added to your 'whatever' phrase. It may show up buyer keywords that are more popular that the 'for sale' phrase. Also, if you target your content to mention multiple 'buyer' keywords google will know for definate what your page(s) are about and rank you accordingly.

I think the value that an exact match domain gives you nowadays is diminishing - you could get a domain with no keywords in at all and still rank very nicely as long as your content is focused.
  • Yeah, that's a good idea, actually (finding similar kws). Maybe you can find other Keywords that are similar to your main one, have some potential and get the exact match for them. If it kind of contains exactly the main keyword, the better.

If nothing works ... go for the highest kw density, I guess. However, I see a lot of Exact matches in SERPS.

(if you go Authorative website route, there is more latitude in choosing the domain name)
  • Just use another domain extension like .info, .biz, etc.

    • Hi my dear Guru,

Can you describe here the stopwords which we can use in the EMD. Or also tell us is it good for a domain?????????

      Thanks
  • Yeah, if there's other extensions available just go for one of them. It's better than adding additional keywords / letters.

    • generally i use hyphen so i suggest you to use hyphen.
  • avoid putting hyphens in your domain, having a hyphen does not mean that you still have an exact match, the hyphen is just the same as having another letter in there, except its probably better to have a letter instead of the hyphen since google doesn't really like hyphened domains.

Sure I have a few and they rank, but according to SEOMoz and other sources you should try and avoid them.

I personally tend to just add a letter or word at the end, so if my keyword was how to lose weight, my domain would be: howtoloseweightnow.com, or howtoloseweightfast.com etc... make sense? Add either a letter, or a relevant word at the end.

Also don't be afraid to use other extensions such as .info, often the .info is available.... its a case of branding, if you just want to build a niche site then u can use .info or other fine, if u want to build your business brand I would recommend .com, .co.uk, .org over other ones that are less used, it just looks better
  • Eff just faced the same problem, it is a 3 keyword so no way to add dashes!
.com, .net, .org, .info are all registered.
    Should I go for (the+3words.com)
    or (3words+s.com)?
  • Keyword "whatever for sale" will give you more target audiences then the general one.
