Hi,
I'm trying to understand EMS and micro niche marketing business and would like to ask some questions please:

1- if I find 2 keywords with a common word, can i rank one EMD domain for these 2 keywords maybe with 2 inner pages each targeting one keyword . Example: keyword1="a b" and keyword2="b c". can I register domain a-b-c.com or abc.com and get it ranked for these 2 keywords?

2- I searched the internet to get answer about this question and I found a lot of different opnions.. but I need a confirmation from an expert. Does abc.com acts like a-b-c.com for EMD micro niche domains?

3- I would highly appreciate if anyone give a detailed overview on how to understand the competition in Market Samurai. i have read posts above but get losted! SEOC, SEOTC, SEOUC or SEOCTR ! Ranges of values for each of these factors!

I made some experiments in Market Samurai SEO Competition module and I can see that its results are parallel to SEOTC regardless of SEOUC. Can you confirm?

Thank you.

You'll probably get arguments to both sides. My thoughts below are based only on my experience.

    1. I have a page 1 (#5) for a very difficult keyword with a domain like keyword research tools for SEO, PPC, link building and blogging | Wordtracker where keyword is the keyword, and info is just a random word added at the end.

    2. I have a page 1 (#2) ranking for a moderately difficult keyword for a domain like this... www.notmykeyword.com/mykeyword

    3. I have a lot of page one (and #1) rankings for examples like #2, I also have a lot for EMDs.

Okay, so what's all that mean? IMO an EMD isn't all that helpful, however, people love to see them when you're selling a site. It's for that reason alone that I just bought about 80 EMDs.

I prefer not to use hyphens unless I want people to remember the domain name for type in traffic. I prefer to use a "stop word" at the end if I want the keyword in the domain.

You can certainly target other keywords than the domain name. Just be sure to include them in the URL. www.keyword.com/the-keyword-you-want-to-rank-for.

    Hope that helps some.
