Hello guys.

I would love to make links noindex and nofollow on my WP blog. Specifically, I would love to do this for contact, privacy page and similar, which are pages on my blog and they can be seen from any post/ page.

Please tell me how to do this inside WP. Also, is this a good idea, or is it better to use rel="canonical"? Thanks for the answers!

I use Platinum SEO to do that for my "about" pages and a few others that I don't wish to have crawled. And even though it runs counter to intuition, its better to leave disclaimer and privacy pages indexed and follow. Why? Because you want G to know that your site has those pages, it doesn't matter a whit that they're indexed for SERPs, and likewise it doesn't matter that they're follow because you're not likely to be allowing comments on those pages or linking to other sites from them - so why make them no index & no follow?

I make my About page no index because I'm the same person across all my sites and niches (an advantage of a diverse background), and therefore recycle most of what's there across all of my sites - and I don't want Joe the Psycho Stalker feeding that into Google to find all of my sites any more than I want him to know my physical address (which is why I use a P.O. Box for everything, in conjunction with WHOIS Guard for my domain registry).
