Anyone Using Socialmarker.com Effectively? - Do You Have Any Tips For Warriors?

Hi,

I'm looking to learn more about socialmarker.com and how to use it effectively. I have just started to use it today to give some "link love" to one of my articles on Ezinearticles.

Today I went to submit to the first site on socialmarker.com which is propeller.com and received the following message:

From propeller.com

This domain has been banned for the following reason: "Article mill, spam platform"

From digg.com

This URL has been widely reported by users as being regularly used to spam Digg's submission process and cannot be submitted at this time.

Has anyone else run into anything like this before?

All The Best,

Tony

Yeah I just got that message when I tried to submit yesterday also. It must be recently they banned EzineArticles because I did get one in a few weeks ago. Digg banned them a long time ago. Let's just hope that Google does not start to drop them from the index due to high amounts of spam complaints. I know that EzineArticles has been getting a lot stricter so this must have something to do with it.

You can still use many of the other sites to submit to with SocialMarker. I have not really messed with it that much yet, I am still using OnlyWire which works well. What about Squidoo and HubPages are they banning those sites yet?

      Hi,

      I appreciate your input.

I haven't tried it with hubpages or squidoo, so no data on those yet.

I'm glad that you mentioned onlywire. I look forward to giving onlywire a try.

      Thanks again.

      All The Best,

      Tony

Yea digg stopped allowing you digg ezine quite a while ago. It is thought that Google may start to ignore diggs unless they receive over 20 diggs.

          Hi scene4u,

          That's interesting.

It seems there is some new measure to stop spam and other abuse every other day. Unfortunately it also impededs the flow of legitimate, high-quality content. Lacking the actual manpower to manually review each submission, I guess sites like digg.com feel that they have to insitute some blanket policies to combat abuse, i.e., like reject submissions that have ezinearticles in the link.

          Thanks for your input.

          All The Best,

          Tony
