Outsourcing newbie question

Ok, so a while ago I've started doing some small niche websites, a little affiliate, and now I want to start on something a little bigger, but for this, of course, I need to outsource.

I've never done this before, so I'm not really sure what I should be aware of, and where I should start looking for offers (warriors for hire, fiverr?). I want to do the articles for the site myself, as well as get some good high quality links, but other than that, I want to outsource as much as possible. So, I would appreciate any tips you would have to spare.

      Well, my main plan is to write several articles for a small niche, then start gathering links: comments from related posts, comments on authority sites, ezines, web 2.0 sites, guest posts, forum sigs, 1-2 press releases and scan the competition for whatever other links they might have and see what else I can take.

      I have a fair amount of money, but I don't want to invest very much; the thing is, I'm sure I can do something more useful and productive with my time than make forum profiles and write ezine articles.

    You can look in odesk.com or freelancer.com .. there are good provider and cheap ones there. however, choose those that has a track record.

    I agree with Penchant - Guru, Elance and oDesk are great. Also check out Freelancer.com and Peopleperhour.com.

    It may be worth signing up to Fiverr plus a few more Fiverr clone sites to expose yourself more and narrow down the list of people that are right for the job.

    Hey,

    Where I would personally start if I was outsourcing is looking over a few of these sites...

    - ODesk (this is usually the first place I look for my outsourcing needs)
    - Craiglist (I am serial craiglist stalker so I'm always on there and you can always find some surprises on there)
    - OnlineJobs.ph (now, this site is secretly my favourite - it's an outsourcing company based in the Philippines - where you can hire very affordable Virtual Assistants)

    The reason I've leftout Freelance.com and Elance.com because they are bidding sites, where the workers bid for each project. Can be GOOD but I tend to use them on bigger projects like software development, ect.

    NOTE: You should screen them carefully only ever hiring someone because you feel they are perfect for your business and not because they are cheap - as they say "you get what you pay for..."

    But you can get a VA for SEO purposes from as low as $250 per month full-time (40 hours a week). Also, they can be very knowledgeable so if they think something is better done a certain way then they will share their opinion.

    Happy outsourcing, it's definitely an experience and it's changed how I do business... so I think it will definitely benefit you in your online success.

    Guru.com, Elance.com and Odesk.com are among the best places to get good writers but don't ignore Fiverr.com and other less known sites.
