Adsense and Tumblr?

Hello,

I just recovered one tumblr page with some funny pictures, quotes and stuff.
Then i saw that that person uses some Adsense banners on that site.
I thought that the content has to be "unique", I mean the most of the pics are "reblogged" that means that he´s not the owner of the pics. Is this allowed?
Or is it maybe therefore allowed because there is a given a "source"?

    If you are not posting a copyrighted pics, it's okay to use Adsense, Google Ads servers can grab details about the page from the picture title, description + meta tags

    Yes I agree if pics are not copy write then it is fine to use them.

    If you don't own the pictures , you cannot use adsense on the site , you could you pictures with creative common license rights , altough you have to clearly state it
