Hey warriors,

Wikipedia articles are really tough to outrank. I just trying to outrank 1 wikipedia article for my targeted keyword. But it seems very very tough to me. So just want to know what you do to outrank wikipedia articles?

Wikipedia can be outranked, may be difficult, but you need to placed at 2nd spot for sometime to do that, my personal experience, i was the person who held 2nd spot for almost 6 months and outranked the wiki ultimately, only to find another .gov site coming from behind and taking over the 1st spot after 3 months of holding the 1st rank, well still doing the waiting game and building backlinks, showing some effects but i know it is a waiting game as these authority sites are just holding onto their 1st spots due to their authority status and it is a matter of time before you can dislodge them with more authority backlinks built for your sites, just keep doing what you do best with respect to link building and wait for it to happen.

Don't fight Wikipedia. Just update Wikipedia and include something of value that links back to your site. That way, you'll be on equal footing with the competitors. Its not actually Wikipedia that you fear, but the others that are benefiting from it.

That is the best thing to do in this situation. Now see how many more of the top 10, 20, 30 , etc sites you can get to link to your money site. Wikipedia derives its seo power from a high degree of trust and authority. They also have an excellent internal link structure that funnels the "juice" pretty effectively. You can latch on to this power by getting the article to link to you. Besides this, just follow your standard off page seo practices. In fact, you may even want to ramp them up. I find that most people are way to conservative when it comes to building links. In my opinion, the more links you can build, the better. As long as you follow standard seo practices with this, you should be able to outrank the wikipedia article in no time.
