What Is Your Most Effective FREE Traffic Tactic?

There's no easy answer to SEO but in my experience starting a blog in wordpress and adding UNIQUE content daily is something that has helped me rank on the first page of the search engines for several different keywords.

I think with the best way for free traffic is via the social networks. If you set them up right and niche them down, it's easy to have a very targeted audience for what you are offering. There are so many other social networks other than Facebook that can be a good source of income for you.

For me article submission, blog commenting and social medias are very effective ways!

There is no such thing as free. If you go for Google adwords you will pay money and if you decide to go for organic traffic then you will spend lots of time creating backlinks for your website.

I've just started out but my two most effective ways thus far:

1. First page of SERPs. I'm ranking 9th for a keyword that has 12,000 exacts/month, this brings in about 100 page views/day.

2. A link from a high-traffic, context-relevant site.

I would say that creating a FB profile followed by a FB fan page is the best and cheapest way to get free traffic..just my 2 cents...

Starting with research to find relevant low competition keywords before commiting on a product/service to promote. If it's too late for that I would still try to find keywords that I can compete with, write articles, submit said articles everywhere possible, become an authority on relevant blogs and forums....and use all the suggestions above. It's a ton of work!

For few sites, it could be video marketing, for few sites, it could be forum postings. It really depends on the site niche.

I think doing forum postings, article submissions, social bookmarking and social networking could bring in a good traffic for free.

every answer has only one conclusion...you will have to strictly follow the off page factors and trying to pass the image of your website in your relevant websites.you can do it by the different techniques...like.
blog commenting.
directory submission
press release submission
artilce submission.
