I have just been awarded with PR3 to one of my website, but No Traffic change?

As per your experience,
As you get PR to your website, How much time it takes to get traffic change to your websites?

    This is the perfect example of why chasing PR is not a good idea. Sure you will see more traffic, but it is not really correlated to PR. However, good job, keep at it and you will see a traffic increase.

      Yep.

      Thanks a lot, vikash_kumar, for bringing up this topic, because this is the best example that PR is not traffic.

      There is nothing bad about getting a backlink from a page with PR, but this is by far not enough to start getting good traffic.

        Hi Vikash,

        PR is just a score based on a count of how many pages that contain links that could possible lead to you website. There is nothing in this score that indicates how much traffic those pages have and therefore is not an indicator of traffic.

        A long time ago it was an important factor in your SERP ranking, but currently has very little impact. If you spend a lot of time chasing PR you will make your competitors very happy.

    As soon as you site gets indexed by google, they give it a PR rating that is above 0. The PR rating for your site changes daily but they only update the visible toolbar PR every 3 - 4 months.

    You will not get a rankings boost from a toolbar PR update.
