I use pages, because I prefer to use WP like a CMS, not a blog. Posts will usually show dates etc, which I don't think is relevant to my content. If I was running a news site or something that encouraged repeat visitors then posts would allow returning visitors to quickly find the latest content.

It's largely personal preference, but as a general rule use pages if you want to create something that looks and behaves more like a "traditional" website.

With Pages, you have limited number of pages to include in your blog otherwise you blog will be cluster and unorganized.

And there isn't any difference with having your content in your blog post or pages as they all rank the same and can be optimized with "all in one seo".

Blogger makes use of pages because it is easily reachable while blog post can be pushed down by new post and will only be found by the search engine or wherever you have it advertised.

For information that is "fresh" for eternity - pages, for news etc. posts. Simple as that But try not to create too many pages, your blog will look silly (better 4 good pages than 40 bad)!

I use pages for main content that I want to stick. I then use posts for the blog associated with my site so that the latest, freshest content is up top for visitors.

I don't thing page or post is as important to the search engines as much as the quality of the content you're creating. My pages are good quality & I bolster them by writing & distributing articles that link back to those specific pages. I'm more conscious of targeting specific keywords for these.

For my blog posts I'm not as focused on keywords & SEO but these posts flow really naturally & add a genuine, human aspect to the site because they aren't forced. They also take less time & let the search engines know that I'm actively adding content.

I use pages for the articles that I have keyword optimized and want to rank for. Then I use posts to interlink to these target pages for some on page SEO. My posts are usually 300-500 words long with my pages being 600-800 words. It's been working so far and getting some decent traffic and income.

Anything a Page can do, a Post can match. But Posts can do stuff that Pages can't.

So, Posts have more features and they are more versatile. Pages are rigid in some ways.

On my website, which is very CMS-like, I use Posts exclusively. I have zero Pages.

I do think blog post are more useful to our seo than pages. coz the post are increased more and more with the different keywords which seem so fresh to serach engines.thus, it will help us to improve the search engine ranking.I think no one will make a lot of pages but only sevarl for the necessary instruction.I hope it is meaningful to you.

Content + backlinks provides rankings in SERP's - not posts or pages. That said, use what fits your site style.

SEO wise I personally use Pages for top content, and Posts to feed backlinks to Pages. Works pretty well, to be honest.

I use either custom post type or page. No difference from SERP's perspective except if you have larget amount UGC on your post, it can dilute your keyword density.

Use pages to rank something long term, usually because you can have domain/keyword rather than all the other crap that comes along with a post.

Well both pages/post are at same level, difference is created by on-page optimization or backlinks. If you are trying to target many keywords, then I will suggest using Pages, instead of post.
    Thanks

The biggest difference between Posts and Pages is this: Posts are social media instruments, Pages aren’t.

The WordPress Post is the tool you’ll be using within your blog to engage readers. Posts are what everyone on Twitter and Facebook are sharing. They enhance sharing and engagement with:

    * Comments – Although Pages and Posts have commenting features, it’s generally a good idea to deactivate the comments on Pages. You want your readers to comment on your latest post, not your legal disclaimer.

    * Sharing – There are hundreds of WordPress plugins that enable your readers to share content – quickly and easily. Most of these plugins give you an option to deactivate sharing on Pages.

As you have lots of pages on your blog but not the valuable content then none will going to visit your site and google not used to count the pages to rank your site. And it considered content more to rank your site and that is the content only for which you will get your keyword position. So just be focused on the quality content and not the pages.
