Google Keyword Tool shows 1-year-old data. Are there any tools that show more recent keyword stats??

What the title says.

Google's Keyword tool shows an average summary for a period of 1 year.

Are there any tools that can give you the number of searches that a keyword got for, say, the past month?

Google Trends only shows the trend but no exact search numbers.

Google's keyword tool shows the local search trends graph of the past 12 months. Compare that data to that in Google's Insights for search tool to get an approximate value.

      I don't get it...
Isn't Google Insight for Search pretty much the same thing as Google Trends?
I.e. isn't it just a tool for estimating the direction of the trends and increase in search volume for a term?
I mean, it does not give you any exact search numbers like the Google Keyword tool does.

I am looking for an alternative of the Google Keyword Tool that does the same as the GKWT, but using data from the last month, not the last year.

        Just do this then:

        1) Enable local search trends in Google's Keyword tool
        2) Download the report in CSV
        3) In the downloaded report Google will give you each month's search value for the past 12 months

I should have just told you of this way first, I don't know why i didn't

You can have a look at Market Samurai, if you need more accurate data and deeper SEO analysis.

Or, just use the "Local Search Trends" column to get an estimate of the monthly search count.
