Multiple Adsense sites in the same niche...TOS compliant?

Say I don't create a giant authority site, but I create four different sites.

Instead of targeting "red widgets" for the authority site, I buy four different EMD's targeting longtails such as...

long red widgets
short red widgets
round red widgets
square red widgets

When I hit the $100 a day mark and get that manual review, will this pass, if they all have a solid design and plenty of posts (50+)? They aren't thin, they look good, they offer quality, however they all are very similar.

Any insight on this? I know a guy who had about 30 sites in the same niche and got banned, but I don't know if it was that, or the fact that they were all one pagers... (or both, of course).

Anyone know?

I have never read anything in the adsense rules that would suggest that you are in any violation. I think you would be fine as long as it is not pure duplicate content and these sites provide value.

In my experience, it's okay to get multiple site with the same adsense account.

There is no reason that Google would object to you having various sites view similar niches from various angles. I have never heard of any such rule that Google has. If that was the case, then who ever was the first one to create a site in any niche, no one could compete with them as a site would be similar and in the same niche. Does that make sense?

Is there really a manual review when you hit $100 a day in adsense ?

Also, don't be shady when placing Adsense ads close to website navigation. Just the potential of generating invalid clicks can get you banned. Learned that the hard way...

Nowadays I put plenty of padding around Adsense ads in articles and don't put them near site navigation of any sort.

I dont think theres a problem with how many of what sites you create
Just abide by the rules on everything else as far as placement and what type of site it can be.
