Investing $1500 in adsense site or build your own?

reading up. and do it yourself. =)
i think that is best.

im not into adsense but i have friends who spent $7000+ on adsense packages and did not pay out.

so learn abit at least it will help a long way with selecting the right people too rather than not knowing anything and if the guys scam u u also wont know.

It all depend on your skill
if you know how to design wich with word press could be easy i will raccomend you to build your own one otherwise you could also buy but before you by anyone do some reserch on the website do not trust seller

Are you deciding on one or the other based on your budget?

I may be stating the obvious here, but if you can afford it, and you can jump into something that's a proven winner and profitable, then why not buy the adsense site AND build your own.

If it's a matter of having limited funds, then perhaps jumping into something that's already profitable would be a good idea (and a learning experience).

If you're already a pro, and know how to put up profit-pulling adsense sites, then go that route. Either way, best of luck to you!

Making a rather simple adsense site is no big deal, i myself can make this in a short time, all you need is someone who writes a little content. Hosting is no big deal either, this is peanuts.

My question..you sound like someone offered you to buy this site...how do you know the income claims are true?

For a SIMPLE adsense site i personally would not pay $1500, by a long shot. Unless it is a site which has REALLY good potential, keywords etc...and i KNOW that the money i would spend (for the links etc.) is well spent and it is a given that the people will rank the site. But how do you know that?

Don't invest based on what someone tells you or on "potential" or on claims...this way someone can sell you some brand new site, without traffic/revenue etc..which is basically worthless...dont fall for this.

I'd advice against it if you want to ACTUALLY LEARN how IM and website promotions works. In this case, you've your website already built (this means no way of doing any keyword research/on page optimization). Plus you're paying $153 for the off-page optimization. Onage and Offpage optimizations both are done by someone else so you're just making profit which will take atleast next year.
BUT IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, go with it. You won't learn much but after a year or so you'll start making good return in your investment.

Actually you have no way of knowing this beforehand. It's all a guess, a crap shoot.

Instead, you can sign up at Hostgator or Bluehost for hosting. They each have an automatic set-up of Wordpress.
You can learn about Wordpress free at Youtube, and if you want to put up simple HTML sites, you can get the a webdesign software called Kompozer. It's free. There are tutorials for KompoZer on Youtube and at thesiterwizzard (dot) com.

Perhaps you should experiment with it for several months before you dump $1,500 plus a high monthly fee into something that may not even pan out. You can always decide to spend the money later if you wish.

Once you learn to create a website (HTML or Wordpress) it will then seem easy, and you will wonder why you ever wanted to pay that much money.

Sorry, but you do not know how much money it will make a day. Don't be surprised if you invest all that money and end up with pennies per day.

$1,500 for an untested site and $153 a month for hosting/backlinking is a lot of cash for an Adsense site. Without knowing all the details, on the surface of it you look like you're about to bend over for someone

My recommendation is to walk away from it and spend some time learning how to do it. Using a blog, a theme, decent content and a bit of time and effort, you should be able to set up an Adsense site for about $10 a month on your own and get it earning $5 to $10 a day in a month or so.

$1,500? No way....

Buying an unproven site for $1500 and then paying another $153 dollars on top of that a month seems like an extremely risky move. Building your own AdSense sites is how I normally proceed but if you're set on buying a site why not use a site Digital Points Forum or Flippa to buy an already established money making site with at least some proof of income to justify laying out your money.

I'm pretty sure I know the sites you're looking to buy. I commented on them as I thought the entire thing sounded a bit fishy and wanted more information. I didn't want to push the issue as I didn't have actual proof, but the guy selling had his account banned on Flippa, had been called out for selling a re-hashed/bad info product before, etc. It really concerned me that he has this large "network" of social media that drives 70% of the traffic to you which gets you the clicks...that sounds a bit shady or "off" to me.

Anyway, I put some thought into how/why the seller might actually be doing what he's doing. (It doesn't make sense at first...why would he not just keep the sites himself?)

Let's say he had his AdSense account banned for whatever reason...but he does know how to use social media to drive traffic and clicks quite well. He can piggy-back on the AdSense accounts of others by having them pay an up-front fee and then sending him a "monthly" fee each month. Yes, they're earning more than the monthly fee...but it's their AdSense account at risk...make sense?

I think $1,500 is a good price to pay for a site that's making $300/month. But I would pass this offer because of the $150/monthly fee.

Building Adsense sites are a piece of cake if you use wordpress or a different content management system. Just make sure you are targeting the right keywords with high CPC or you may be setting yourself up to fail.

Yes, the $150/month seems very unattractive.
I would suggest creating your site and investing the money in other services/products that help in the development/marketing of your site.
I think with the money you would be spending on that site, it would not be very difficult to create a site that would make $10-$15 a day. May take more time, but you'll learn a lot more.

To be honest, don't waste your time investing in a site that's already learning. Learn the ropes BEFORE investing in a project like that. Chances are you'll screw something up and watch your earnings drop and drop. A $1,500/mo. Adsense sites gonna go for around ~$10,000 or so. That is a LOT of wiggle room and a LOT of money to play with and learn from. Chances are you could make a site that earns $1,500 a month with $10,000. Heck, you could even make a few sites that earn that.

Don't burn your luck by buying one money earning site.

If this is your first Rodeo I would do at least the first few yourself.

Thanks so much guys you have saved me from spending the money.. i have now decided to take an adsense coaching and slowly build my self up. I just hope i can make $5-$10 per day from adsense. Is that achievable from a newbie?

Yes it can be achieved.And set your target sky high so that atleast you can reach something like what you are quoting in the last post.

Adsense is platform where you will learn from your actions,more mistakes,more experiments means more improvement in your income.

So never expect too much-set small target first and then gradually raises it up.

You should never pay 1500 for a adsense site that is not earning money.

You most certainly should build your own. Copy the success of others.

For example if find a keyword that has an exact match domain name and is ranking in the top 3 then go for it.

You can also head over to flippa and look for websites that are making money already. just make your own content around that keyword and do some more searched to find 4 other keywords that are similar and get good searched then write 4 more articles.

Then all you have to do is backlink your articles and you are good.

Adsense sites command some of the highest multiples (12-24 x monthly earnings) and are the easiest & quickest to sell. Anyone in that business should know that. If someone has a site that they are certain will do that good, or already is, they aren't going to 'throw money out' by selling it cheap.

Further, I'd have to agree with RevSEO: learn the ropes first. Take a small piece of that money and buy one of the reputable Adsense courses. You could even use some of the money to outsource the steps - once you understand them yourself. You'll put yourself in much better stead for the longer term that way.

I REALLY tried to give a good warning on Page 4, but I wasn't sure how far I was allowed to go. I thought that I had a responsibility to at least comment and ask a few questions that may get people thinking...but I thought that going on the attack was not allowed there, right?

Mady I'm going through the same dilemmas as you regarding Adsense sites and will be starting from scratch myself as well, just out of interest which coaching plan did you go for?

I'm thinking of going for the 100k Adsense blueprint but have seen numerous others all promising to give the same sort of coaching to building Adsense income generating sites so am a little confused.

Any advice from anyone else?
