Long Tail Keywords Question

I have a question about using some keywords. Whenever you have a phrase that is isn't grammatically correct like "buy computer now" and you are trying to use it an article or website or whatever the case may be, will I still be ranked under the phrase if I change it to something like "buy a computer now" or do something similar like throw in a "the" or "in" or something similar to the keyword phrase. Thanks in advance.

    As I know, based on what I learn, words like the, a, that, and etc. are meaningless in keywords structure. Actually, it's better to avoid these words in order to have more space for effective and specific keywords in the structure, eg. "buy cheap computer now" is better than "buy a computer now".

    They will still rank unless searcher use "buy a computer now" instead of without the quotes.

    It is better to add your related keyword on your keyword tag.

    Yes try to avoid those a, the, in etc and try to use the Keywords set. Also try to zumble up the keywords so that variations will also support your ranking. Like "Buy computer now" "computer to buy now" "now buy computer" "buy good computer now" etc will help you in long term. So smartly you need to strategies.

      Yeah, just write your articles naturally. You are not going to convince anyone to buy if they can't understand what they reading.

    I think adding words like "a" to a long tail keyword is totally useless!
    If you really want to diversify your long tail keword, then you can do just like what aneilfever said!

    It is useless using these Articles on your keywords..Just target those keywords whether it is long tailed or highly competitive keyword..if you have a keyword "buy computer now" you can also target keyword like this "buy computer" "computer for sale"..or you can use Google Adwords Keyword Tool..

    I wouldn't say 'but computer now' is gramatically wrong, its just a jumbled keyword....

    Its perfectly fine to use such keyword in your Ads, as far as articles are concerned, you have to see if you can fit these keywords in your content seamlessly (without harming content's readability)

    With odd phrases like that you can be "creative" about how you use and link the words. For example, with "buy computer now", you could try something like this in your article(s)

    "In my opinion the xxxxxx is a best buy computer. Now you should head over to xxxx.com and buy before they are sold out"

    Highlight "buy computer. Now" and you have your keyword.

    Long tail keywords are the best to earn quick results over search engine but it is necessary to earn backlinks from sites which are related to niche for your webiste for traffic as well.

    Write naturally. Don't try to write like you're translating something or mistyped it. You may want to for the sake of Bing throw the jumbled stuff into the keywords list, or have internal links on your pages that link back to that specific page with different phrases.

    Page 1: Buy a computer today
    Page 2: Buy computer now!
    Page 3: Buy a computer now!
    Page 4: Buying computers

    Or even setup multiple pages with that in the URL, but canonical them all to one.
    ....example.com/buy-computer-today
    ....example.com/buy-a-computer-today
    ....example.com/buy-computers-now
    ....example.com/buying-a-computer

    canonical: ../buy-a-computer-right-now-man-I-need-the-affiliate-sales-cash

    You get where I'm going? That's your best bet. You don't want to write like you can't speak English, your site will come off spammy. Write naturally, and behind the scenes fix these things up.

    Yes, I agree to Laki Politis, your on page content should be as natural as possible. Use the backlink with your targeted anchor link to rank for your desire keywords while make the on page content as reader friendly as possible...

    BTW, "buy a new computer" and "buy new computer" are going to be same in Google's eye because they are in the same order and Google will ignore some words or stop words like "a", "the"...

    Words/Phrases that contain articles like "a, an, the" are usually ignored by Google. It doesn't seem to take notice of them and a similar search results show up for keyword phrases that do or do not contain any of the above words. So to make your article or anchor text seem correct it is in no means bad. The only time it really matters is when a user searches for an exact match for his search query.
