    Maybe I had a brainfart but wasnt this the same question I answered the other day lmao.
    Id leave the ones alone and pick out a higher paying keyword with more comp.
    Then 5-10 easier to rank keywords and rank those use those to help pull your main keyword into play.

  • If you indeed have control of the anchor text, the the less popular keyword would presumably give you a quicker short term boost, I can't say if changing it would be viewed with suspicion by he search engine. The competetiveness and commerial intent of the keywords is worth comparing, do you have any instinctive sense of which one would bring more ready to buy visitors.
  • I'd keep your anchor text and continue to build more great backlinks with your chosen anchor text.

    Don't look back.

    Just because you have a competitive keyword as your anchor text, doesn't mean it is useless for your other keywords.

    As long as your keywords are in the same niche it will be helpin you to rank for those easier to target terms
  • start with much less popular keyword phrase and when it start coming up , your competitive keyword will also move up slowly. Once you achieve first page ranking with less popular phrase , your competitive keyword will be at place from where you can bring it on top pages easily.

    Backlink Question?

    So here's the deal: I have acquired a very good backlink from a trusted Google source, but my anchor text that I chose to use for the link is for a very competitive keyword phrase that I am nowhere to be found for on Google. Upon searching yesterday, I found out that I am ranking fairly well for a much less popular keyword phrase and am sure I could rank near the top of Google for this phrase if I only threw a few links at the keyword combo.
