Here I found a ONE MONTH OLD SITE
ranking number 3, outranking 3-5 yr old sites with 10s of thousand of backlinks
The kw searches per month? 50,000 EXACT

the site has 650 indexed pages, ok fine
Domain age new (one month old)
Backlinks to the page ZERO
Backlinks to the domain 316

However HERE is what I was talking about yesterday

1,2 and 3 on the top 10 Have the keyword in the domain name

the number 4 5,6 and 7 sites Do not have the keyword in the domain
But
they have 10s of thousands of backlinks to their domain and showing as backlinks to the PAGE where this kw appears on their site

Yet the number 3 site outranks them easily..........with ZERO backlinks to the page, and only 316 backlinks to his domain
ON A 1 MONTH OLD SITE

So keyword in the domain name is VERY IMPORTANT according to google
This just proved it

It means nothing. Pure nonsense.

See, if it were true, then sites like ebay, zillow, etsy, amazon,
wikipedia, etc. etc. even warriorforum and digitalpoint, would not be
squat.

When real people do real searches from real computers in the
real world, it doesn't mean squat.

You have proved that fools rush in...

#1 dating site in the world is plentyoffish.com. (pof.com) No keywords.
In fact, the biggest dating sites are just like that. Like zoosk.com.

For strange, weird things, of course.

This thread ranks #1 for

the site has 650 indexed pages, ok fine

No PR, no backlinks, no nothing.

Amazing isn't it? You got #1 in less than 5 minutes!

OK so you are telling me because this term below

from this thread , is ranking number one when you search for that exact phrase, that this proves something?

you telling me that term is searched 50,000 times per month? anyone can pick out a unique 8 word phrase and rank number 1 for it, that means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, since that term never gets searched

I could pick out any 8 word phrase from a 500 word unique blog post, and guess what site would be number one on Google? Yup you got it, that exact blog. No surprise, where else would you find that phrase? its unique?

You saying this thread rates 1 for a term that gets searched 50k times per month?

the kw in the domain name is the ONLY reason that site I am talking about could rank number three

on all other factors the sites under him rank or would seem to outrank him
so why or how is he number 3 in one month? and dont tell me its the google honeymoon

Site in your signature is also an emd. It was registered more than 1 year ago. Has 39 backlinks according to yahoo site explorer.

But ranking at # 32 in google Philippine for the keywords in your domain.

I started an emd a few days ago but It is ranking no where.

Keywords in a domain will help for very narrow niches.
The narrower the better, as that's all that's needed to
trigger it.

That's why large authority sites don't go that route
and don't give a rat's behind about any perceived
keywords in a domain. They pick a cool domain and
run with it.

If more people thought "authority" instead of spam,
they might get somewhere. But you get tons of
people suckered into an EMD, lame wordpress for CM, and
think instant riches.

  oh ah ok , I thought this sig was linking out to my main resort site that I own, its linking out to one of my feeder sites batangasbeachresorts.net, sorry
  
  ya batangas beach resorts, I am much higher on that kw with my main resort domain, but thats a very difficult kw to rank first page on. I am working on it between creating other sites

  the ONLY difference in that site and the sites below it, is they quite obviously do not have the kw in their domain, and they also do not have the kw in their url (I think )
  
  there is no logical explanation for that site to be outranking the sites below it other than the fact that it has the kws in the domain name. He certainly does not have more or better backlinks , because the backlinks showing to the PAGE for his site are ZERO
  
  but then going by my own logic the site in my signature should be ranked much higher, than some of the other sites with no kws in their domain, and I also if you look have the EMD .net

  but I will tell you that my site is poorly backlinked and only 6 mos old compared to the higher ranking sites which are years old with 100s of backlinks

I think it only helps when you are trying to get to first page of Google as quickly as possible. If long term is your goal, it doesn't matter what you have in your domain.
