If my site is already on page 1 of the search results, will using Adwords help increase traffic enough to merit the expense?

Thank you in advance for any input you can offer.

Why not just try it? You have the opportunity to gather data on all sorts of things on both sides so take it.

Depending on your niche and your product or service, combining organic results with an ad campaign could potentially increase your traffic, though you'll usually get more clicks with the organic if you're high up on page 1. I'd say try it and see what kind of results you get.

You could give it a shot and check your ROI. If you're in spot 1, you might actually end up spending money on clicks you could have gotten for free otherwise. It's hard to say.

I dont get it if your site is on the first page on google and you dont get enought traffic this means that the keyword that you chose is wrong , obviously that Adwords will bring you more traffic than you what you are getting now.

If there isn't any competition in adwords for that search term then it should stick out like a sore thumb

I think the most simple way to answer your own question is to look at the ROI of your organic keyword performance. If this happens to be something you are comfortable with then it would make sense to test AdWords on the highest converting terms and benefit from additional conversions within a defined ROI.

It depends. If you have got top one position, i think you don't need to waste your money on Adwords. But if not, you can use PPC then with a totally different Landing Page.
