Question : Youtube or Metacafe for video SEO ?

Hi;
I've got a question, before you answer it, please read through this post.

Concern :
1. One by one, my IM friends, getting their youtube account ban.
Suspected, due to promoting affiliate product using their account

2. Backlinking on youtube video should not be the same as last time SEO. Getting a lot of backlinks, that's it.
Since Panda update, I guess (just guessing, need expert to clarify this), they are watching closely to their own products, (blogspot, youtube) on SEO activity.
Anything that don't work 'naturally' or seem like that, Google will punish.

3. In my opinion, ranking #1 for youtube video is easier and faster than other video site.

So, here come my question.

I'm going to upload a review video about one of clickbank product.
Which one should I go.
Youtube? or Metacafe?

Thanks

Will you be able to make your video sound like it's not IM? I'd take caution since you know people getting banned already. This should alarm you not to take the risk.

How about this, get a non-IM Youtube video then put a 10-30 second ad for IM right from the start. State that the video is sponsored by this IM site. It's worth a try don't you think?

      Thanks for suggestion. Brilliant idea
hurm, so you still advice me to get my video on youtube instead of Metacafe?

Well, by looking at the traffic, the difference is so huge.

Try posting the same video on both the sites... no harm right?

YouTube holds more authority, stick with the TOS and you'll be fine

The major problem that I'm afraid to just go upload the video on youtube is, I've lot of videos hosted in my account.
Getting banned is like, wasting my 3 years uploading these videos.

Why not just create a new account for the purpose of the Clickbank videos? Then you can even use a keyword rich username for better optimization if needs be.

I don't think Google would punish because if a video goes viral then it gets many backlinks suddenly. Also if Google did this then someone could just buy some cheap backlinking services from fiverr and send a blast to a competitors video to get their Youtube account banned, so it wouldn't seem logical for Google to punish.

You should bare in mind also Metacafe are even stricter than YouTube. I've had videos removed from Metacafe for "spam" even when they were just review videos and not even linking to an affiliate link, but linking to a website.

I usually publish my videos to a list of video sharing sites. YouTube and Metacafe are always on the list. It only takes a few extra minutes to upload it to both.

Then is it really worth it? Me personally I wouldn't do it - I only post quality content to Youtube (Unless you have a throw-away channel you don't care about).

What are they getting banned for? Is it for having an affiliate link?
