Smartest Way To Rank on First Page Fast

For all of you "Pro" SEO people. How would you rank on the first page for a long tail keyword (4 word phrase) that has an exact search amount of 3600 per month (google adwords keyword tool) for a brand new website?

I know there are other variables but with the above information what's your ball park guesstimate?

1 month until on the first page? 2 or 3 months?

What would be your methods of backlinking?

Thanks,

Gil

I agree with outwest - one thing i can add that at wet season the probability of rain is high. So, this way one can analyze and get some estimations in the process of seo.

Honestly, there really isn't enough information to give a REAL time frame.

You DO HAVE to consider all the factors when trying to rank a site on the first page.

    1. On Page SEO - Proper optimization of the page with the keyword in mind.
    2. Off Page SEO - Proper backlinks built - preferably high quality backlinks instead of low quality link blasts.

You would then have to look at the first page of google for that keyword and see how well they are optimized for it.

Then you would need to look at the quality of the backlinks they have ( you will never be able to see all of them, but get a good guess ).

Without knowing all of those factors its hard to say. And making even a "guesstimate" is not a good idea; it would just lead to false expectations.

for my views will be the content must be unique first...and then start building links to my page...there are many different methods of using that one article in your website...

ie . you can turn it into a video and upload to video directories, share it as document, make it into a mp3, guess blogging....and that is just one article..

I would definitely look at your competition by analyzing how many links they have, and the pr of the actual page your competing against (not the site itself). Along with things like if their site is even optimized for the keywords your going after.

If you send me a pm I can personally help you getting started

I am a big fan of free tools and I have a few I can send you that I've used to get my site ranking in a matter of days on the first page

Besides looking at your competition and backlinks, their is also the obvious factor which is on page optimization.

I also have a free checklist I use for that which I will also send you if you are interested.

Hope this helps and just remember seo is a long term process so I honestly wouldn't even be able to guess how long it will take to rank on page 1 without even knowing your keywords. Your competition is definitely the biggest factor.

If there is zero competition you could be ranking top 3 in a day, but if it is a decent keyword (meaning it will actually make you money) which I am assuming it is, than my guess is there will be competition lol

In Google keyword tool, beside number of searches in a month, you have also "Competition" column. So look at it, if it's at zero, then you have a good chances to get to first page in a month, if you do SEO good. But if it's even a little competition, this will make your job much harder.

It's a very common mistake to think that the "Competition" column refers to the competition for ranking that keyword.

It is in fact the adwords competition for the keyword.

            OMG!

Please say you don't believe that.

The GKT competition column is for Adwords competition, not Organic SERPs.

Where on earth did you get that idea?

for real Google is the only real search engine. This is so because over 97% of the searches on the Internet are done through Google. Yahoo and bing are competitors but own very small portions of the search engine market.

For real? What's for real? The fact that you've seen Yahoo and Bing already proves that Google is not the only search engine in the market.

I do believe that almost 100% of the searches on the internet are done with Google. But The fact remains that there are many existing search engines in the internet world. :p

Or as a last result you could pay that guy Matt Laclear or something like that to take you to page 1 of google for $99 guaranteed.. And according to his page about 1,000 WSO guys/gals or liars or he does what he says... A few arre nay sayers, but at least 95% are yes sayers..
You give him 5 keyphrases and he guarantees you will reach page 1 in google for one of the phrases.. so if you want a certain one to come to page 1 then give him 4 others that are real hard and will never make it..

No one can guess how much time is required for the perfect SEO of your website as SEO is a very long process and you need to be patient even if your rankings go down after your efforts.

Like others have stated that it depends on a lot of factors and nobody can definitively answer your question.

I recommend that if you are interested in that keyword or niche then go for it and just go slow and steady. Given enough time you should be able to build some respectable rankings!

Simple, high PageRank backlinks. People often overlook this because they think its "too expensive" and then end up spending the equivalent on lower quality junk links that they need to spend hours and hours trying to get indexed.

Here are the rankings of a keyword with 4,200 exact searches a month using strictly high PageRank backlinks on a BRAND new domain.

Why would you use a new domain ? Fastest way to rank is by using high PR aged domains.
But anyway ... if you`ve got a nice EMD you can always get an aged domain and 301 it to the new domain. That will strengthen it and you`ll be able to build more backlinks and you`ll get rankings faster.
Even with a brand new domain you can get page 1 rankings in 3-4 weeks... but it wont last.
Try the 301 redirect and build some broken link wheels then blast them. Subscribe to high PR contextual homepage networks.
No one can give you an estimate ... best thing you should do is just start doing it.

    Good luck!

Mimic your competition!!! Make sure everything is in order on the on page side first and then consistently work on the off page tactics, article submissions, blog commenting.

LOL!!!! Google doesn't know everything on earth! The competition level that you see in adwords is only their "own" computation.
