Hi, guys
First of all, I want to say thx for this forum and those who help me in the last moths.Till now i run 3 amazon niche sites and one of them earned less than 100$ within 4 moths.
I need help when i choosing the amazon keyword for my site.

1. I want to pick some Hot New Release product, however, i dont know whether the product will popular or not. If i know the product will be popular, how can i choose the keyword for my site? Choose the product name as the emd and keyword or anything others? Do you know where i can find the product information before its sold at amazon?

2. I want to pick the bestsellers for my site, however, the product name and related keyword are already used by others and it is very hard for me to outrank them. Any better way to promote those bestsellers?

3. The way to find a emd and keyword for my niche site is to analyze from ggkw. I find a proper keyword first and find the product from amazon, then i judge the competition according to gg. I usually do such things again and again to find a good product with a profitable keyword.

Use my method, its very hard to choose a product for my niche site and i cant promote the product i want. To set a niche site for amazon, do you have any suggestions?

I hope i made the question clear.
Sorry for bad English and thanks for your replay and suggestions.

Not too sure if I understand all of what you're asking. The thing that works well for me with Amazon when choosing domain names is too choose the Amazon Category as my domain name. If that is taken then I would add something like "info" or "guide" to the end of it.

Best way is go to the section you like on Amazon and get the best seller list. Then put the name through Google keyword tool in all the variations you can think of. For example I just went to Amazon and looked in the Best Sellers in Home Theater Systems (always go for expensive items so the payout is worth the effort)

From the top result I get: Sony HT-CT150 3D Sound Bar System

So I will enter the following into Google KW Tool:

Sony HT-CT150 3D Sound Bar System
    Sony HT-CT150
    HT-CT150
    HT CT150
    Sony 3D Sound Bar System
    3D Sound Bar System

    etc.

All the variations I can think of and if you want more then take a look at the description page and see if there are more keywords you can grab... in this case I can see:

    S-Force Surround for Immersive Audio
    3D home entertainment
32" 3D sound bar home theater system

And again I can make lots of variations based on all of these.

As long as you find some keyword volume for any of these you can use them as a page or post on your site to get traffic.

A way to get specs before they are released to the public could be to sign up for the manufacturers mailing lists. People like Sony tend to send out what is going to be released next season well before they actually hot the shelves.

I read a post on the WF that went into this in much more depth but I can't remember where it is... maybe try a forum search.

With all the keywords you are finding above just go for one that hasn't been taken... or build more backlinks for the ones that have and beat the ones that are there already. If they are affiliate sites then then they got there, which means so can you...

I would do it the way round I mentioned, find the best seller and then look at the searches, not the other way around. This way you aren't wasting your time on things that aren't selling.

Have you tried Market Samurai to speed it all up? The KW research part of the tool is free for life so you don't even have to buy it....

Thanks very much for your suggestions and every aspect the info you gave are great!

As you mentioned, the Sony HT-CT150 3D Sound Bar System is a good product. What do you think the info "Only 19 left in stock--order soon" on amazon? I always found such product and have no confidence to promote because somebody suggest me not to promote such product.

Buy the way, have you finished your site alexcopeland? when i click the page, it showed me 404 page.

Another good source for product ideas is from Amazon Movers and Shakers

Amazon.com Movers & Shakers: The biggest gainers in Amazon sales rank over the past 24 hours

This will list the products in each category that have made the biggest upwards movements in the last 24 hours. This can be a useful resource for picking up on new trends and crazes (particularly with children's toys)

One thing to keep in mind is that if someone buys electronics through your Amazon affiliate link the commission is capped at 4%.

I'm not saying you should stay away from electronics. I have a site in electronics that is doing very well and one that is still just starting out. But it is something you should keep in mind that the commission on a $300 surround sound system may not be the same as the commission on a $300 bookshelf.
