Is publishing content too fast and getting penalized a myth?

I have this aged domain from 2003 and 500+ links pointing to the URL.

But the domain hasn't been used in 3 years. The site has been completely offline.

So I'm wanting to come out of the gate swinging with 5 to 10 500-words articles per day published on the site.

It's all unique content.

I'm just wondering if my site will be penalized or if that's just a myth or not...

Any insights? Thanks. You rock.

  • I don't know if there is a penalty for publishing content too fast but if there is I would be willing to bet it is alot more than 5-10 articles a day. ALOT more.

The main thing is to ensure that your articles are unique and good quality.

You will never get penalized if you publish unique articles I am publishing 12 to 15 articles per day and my experience says that Google loves this...

  • Then its not really aged anymore. google counts the age of the domain from when it was indexed. It would no longer be in the index as a site after three years offline. So in all likelihood you are starting over. Even the links might not count in the algo. No one knows for sure but if links have been dead for that long Google may not count them anymore toward your new site.

I've heard a lot of myths but that one is really strange. News sites publish hundreds of stories a day in different categories.
