Hi, this is a general question about rankings after a site update.

What would happen if i have a site that has been around for 4 year,has 8000+ back-links and also a pr of 3 when the sites design, architecture and linking structure changes completely.

The changes to the site are massive obviously but the old sites architecture including linking and in general is rubbish.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.
