So I've just started using SEnuke X. Seems like a fairly powerful system. I've spent a lot of time watching the tutorials, etc., etc.

I couldn't sleep last night so I decided that I would go ahead and use the diagram feature to do a relatively safe Nuke. I filled in all of the profiles, articles, etc., I set it to run and I go to bed.

I get home from work tonight and decide to look at the reports. I click on one of the links in my article and it says it can't load the page...

It turns out the very first field, where you type in your URL, I mistyped my domain name.

I guess all you can do in these situations is laugh

Hopefully my story of stupidity will be a warning to the rest of you that you should always check to make sure everything is inputted properly before you hit the start button.

Anyone else have any idiotic stories like this?

I've noticed when it comes to SEO a lot of people make silly or small mistakes. One of the many tricks to being successful is to double check your work.

The reality is that you do not have enough time to get a double check. Most of people have a day time job , they get to do the most important staff instead of wasting time on such a issue. Making mistakes is inevitable. The lessons i learned is that you should learn from your mistakes.

Trust me, that's not the worst that can happen.

I once had my outsourcers build backlinks for my competitor for about a month before I realized what I was doing.

So yeah funny things happen at times

Now thats funny! haha I've done the same as you OP before, I setup everything in senuke x, hit start only to realize later that I never put any links back to my site in the articles, web 2.0, press releases, everything haha.

All you can do is shake it off and run it again

Not to laugh at your expense, but that is funny. Lucky competitor! (Can I send you one of my URLs?)

I remember one of the first times I used SEN to do article submissions to article directories and I forgot to change the bio box so it put in the bio box for a different site. I had to manually go back and fix them all. Kept thinking "that's what I get for trying to take a shortcut". Did teach me to pay more attention, though.

We all make silly mistakes like that on occassion. I think there is also a tendency for us IM'ers to stay up late when sensible people would have gone to sleep. Surprising we don't make more mistakes really

Such as the case with automated tools. Gotta take care and double check before your army of robots goes out for the kill, lol.

I got myself 6 PR 4, 5 and 6 links to a page that didn't exist on my site once, needless to say that hasn't happened again. Spelling errors suck! Luckily one of the webmasters who was linking to me pointed it out :p
