  • When I'm going to build a micro niche adsense site... the six things that I'm researching are:

    1.keyword: long tail keyword
2.Domain: if there is a EMD available(Exact Match Domain) for the keyword
    3.Exact Searches
    4.SEO Competition: I'm looking about 30k-50k
5.Adwords CPC: How much google paying per click
6.How strong the First ten competitors are: if there are any authority sites, how many backlinks have etc.

    • Is 30k to 50k competition just right? or is it too much?
  • These are the main, you can also check trends for your keyword with semrush or google trends. For example you can make a killing if select approriate words on st-valentine's day.
  • The most important and obvious factor to take into consideration is the Estimated CPC.

What's the point in building a site that has a CPC of $0.10 (which will earn you around $0.02 - $0.05 with Adsense)

  • I dont know why competition numbers on quotes "" on google matter at all

you could have 100k sites with horrible onpage SEO or who are not even targeting the kws

or you could have 2000 sites with the top ten being viciously competitive
you have to check the top 10, or top 5 on google, thats the most important

    • Here here!

Too many times I see people obsessing about "competing pages".

I've easily ranked pages that target low competition KW's against over 80 million "competing pages" because my page was the most relevant and well optimised, not because it was competitive.

It's not a competition metric and should never be considered one...
  • Best with the keywords that relate to your blog. It does not help if you have recipe ads appear in your IT blog.
  • No, not every keyword is going to deliver good results... you have to conduct a good research for high paying keywords.

I have seen many people targeting high paying keywords with very less or no advertisers, such keywords are useless. The best keywords are those which have high number of advertisers.

    hope this help!
