For any sort of SEO purpose, the website should be on page optimized first, as far as I heard/read. So, what are the procedures of this optimization?
I mean the steps and how to detect them? Any reliable Free tool for checking a site's On-page optimization status?

  • Usual stuff is keyword in title, description, headers and image alt tags.

    Install Yoast if you want a free WP plugin to assist you.

    • Tried Yoast and it works great! You definitely have to try it. It's like a checklist of SEO steps that you need to do. Gives you a color indicator too: Green is great, Yellow is good and Red is, well, needs improvement. It tells you exactly what you need to do and it's easy to use.

      On page optimization is one of the necessary part to do seo of your page..

      apart from the thing which mr. william has mentioned
      the following are the main point to consider while doing on page :-
      • keyword Research .
      • Title Tag optimization
      • Creating Sitemap.xml.
      • creation of Robot file.
      • Rss Feed creation

  • A good tips to stop you from over optimizing is to have your keyword in in your title but not have just your keyword for example
    "this is my keyword" where keyword is your keyword obviously.

  • Well all it depends on the campaign.. Meta Data, Navigation and Sitemaps are usual and common.. Still, ROR, XML, Image And Video Sitemas are used in specific websites.. Apart from this, image optimization is also very important, you need to add "alt" attribute to all the images, it will be best if you can use your keyword in that attribute. Apart from this, Heading Tags and their proper order, bold text are also very important.

    Is essential to create Sitemap.xml and Robot file ?
    Moreover, my site has a precaution (Though it not belongs to any of the prohibited terms) at it's Homepage (www . *** . com). There's only keyword, 'ENTER' which is redirecting to (www . *** . com/index.html) at where the main contents and keywords are. And I'm wanting to optimize that page and that keywords indeed.

    So, could this be a disadvantage for SEO my site as I'm trying to optimize not the Homepage (which already got a PR '0', though I'm not sure enough it's any significance or not), rather another one?
