Is the combination of my own article syndication and adsense a good mix?

I may be stirring up a can of worms here and this subject may have been hashed many times over but here goes . . .

Is the combination of my own article syndication and adsense a good mix?

I have my own site with dozens of keyword/LSI researched articles already indexed by Google that are already slowly getting long tail searches. I have read that if one is running an adsense site that one should take the quality article and then spin it and submit to about 10 ezine sites. Each article of the ten would have backlinks in the resource box going to my site. I have adsense on my site.

What if:
1) I'm lazy and
2) I don't want to just load up and flood the internet with countless spun
articles so
3) I take the same quality keyword/LSI researched articles and submit each one as is as syndication to each ezine site?

(I can already hear the "You didn't already do that did you and piss away all that work?!)

Take it easy with me I'm a beginner. I've already done this with about 1/3 of the articles so far. I'm combining onsite SEO with syndication with a Facebook fanpage. My traffic is going up slowly but hey, it's only been a month.

So again the question:
Is the combination of my own article syndication and adsense a good mix?
(rather than spin thousands of articles).

Would the other sites with copies of my articles take away from adsense earnings (my pages are already indexed) or in the long run, would this be kind of like a "licensing" model and be good in the long run? Licensing in the sense that I get a smaller percentage of the click through but there is a better chance having more instances of impression exposure.

thanks,

Ritchie

P.S
Please, no "hypotheticals"; I know questions like this have to do with the Great Google algorithm(s). Does anyone have any experience?

I also plan on having other kinds of advertising on the site than adsense.
