ok i have been looking arround about how to get backlinks, and blog comenting seems best for me so far. now i have 2 questions about that:

1. is blog commenting effective (good for seo rankings)?

2. is it ok to post on non revlant blogs? like if my website is on dating, and i post coments on computer blogs (thats just example becuse i have lot websites that have not many blogs, and would be hard to get revlant blog comments).

Thanks.

Blog commenting is one of the best ways to get backlinks. But the hardes question with blog comments is not "how to find related blogs ?" but "how to find related blogs with auto approval?".

There are 2 different angles with this. If you want to drive traffic then placing a good comment that shows your knowledge with a link then people may then click on that so you could get traffic from the site you comment on (although if it is competing with the blog you are commenting on then the comments may be deleted by the moderator).

If you are looking to use them to help raise authority and ranking your site then relevance does not affect it, the PR is more of a factor here.

Blog comments will help but really you need to diversify the types of links you use as if every link is the same type then you will hit a point where you may be penelised by G.

Try to get a variety of links from articles, web 2.0, profiles, home page links, comments etc

A backlink from similar niche website is called themed backlink and is definitely worth more than a non-themed backlink, given more weightage by SE. Apart from this other factors like Pagerank, dofollow or nofollow, etc. also matter.

A link is a link so relavant or not it does not matter if you are using it to gain ranking.

If there is no pingback or a "no follow" on the site then there really isn't much reason to post a comment.

Actually that's not true.... I don't want to get into the good ol' DoFollow/Nofollow debate but I'll comment on the fact that it can be useful to leave comments for traffic/sales reasons on popular blogs.

For example, if you leave qualified and helpful answers or give feedback via blog comments you can begin to not only receive traffic but also sales/conversions/etc as a result. Not to mention, if you participate enough you can begin to get some solid links from the blogs that you are contributing on.

Yes commenting is really very good to improve ranking on google.

And always find dofollow blog and use your name as keyword.

    Cheers'

Blog commenting is fine and should heve some good results if done properly but you should consider other forms of link building too including no-follow and some low PR links. It all helps to create diversity and a "natural" look to your link profile.

    Hi,
No doubt Blog Commenting is very helpful in raising your site in the SERP rankings. But try to do that on the blogs which are quite relevant to your keyword.
