    Hi chrisimmons,

There are many factors that go into calculating your Quality Score. I'll gladly to try and help you out.

The first thing that you should do is use the Keyword Analysis Page to determine which general areas are contributing to your issues. Use this tool and come back here and post the response you get from this tool. We can then pursue those issues.

      Hi Don

Firstly may i thank you for your offer of help, im so frustrated but determined not to give in so thank you.

Here is it what is coming up in the keyword analysis tool

      Reasons:

The keyword phrase that you have entered has a low search volume and is not showing any of your ads. If more users start searching for your keyword, your ad will begin to show. You do not need to do anything.

I know the keyword has a low search volume as i have used highly targeted keywords for the campaign. I am targeting menopause weight gain audience, so obviously i don't want to just weight loss keywords as i believe that will encourage lots of non conversion clicks. But i really dont see why this justifies my ad not showing up for the keywords. If i do a search in google with the quotes it says that there are 38,500 searches for the term menopause weight gain.

If you need any more info let me know

      thank you
      chris

This does not report how many searches the phrase has, it tells you how many pages were found that contain that phrase.

If you want to get the number of searches for that phrase you can use the AdWords Keyword Tool. I checked it and for the US it gets 1,900 searches a month on average.

The Keyword Anaysis Page has two Tabs: "Ads Showing?: Yes/No" and "Quality Score: Poor/Ok/Great". Click on the Quality Score Tab and tell us what you see there!

  • Here are some quick tips you can use to boost your quality score:

    1. Make sure the keywords you are bidding on appear on your landing page.

    2. Use the keywords you are bidding on in your ad. This may require you to create smaller adgroups with common keywords.

    3. Link to a multi-page landing page.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Don

This is what it says on the quality score tab

Check back occasionally. There is not enough information to provide accurate Quality Score data.

Thanks for the correction on my confusion of the search numbers.

      Hi Chris,

Have you used the AdWords Keyword Tool to determine what keywords are most relevant for your landing page?

You should check this to see if the the landing page's most relevant keywords match those that you are trying to use. If not, you will need to optimize your landing page for those keywords, or use keywords that are more relevant to your landing page.

You're never going to be able to get away with a quality Score of 1/10.

    Check these factors:
Are your keywords and related terms on your page?
Have You over-optimized? (carries serious penalties)
Which tags have you used your keywords in?

Like most beginners, my guess would be over optimization...
