Seems google has changed something and now SEO Quake will not display PR.. I have tried to change preferences as per goole search recommendations
change
[URL_R]=http://toolbarqueries.google.com/search?client=navclient-auto&hl=en&ch={gchecksum}&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&features=Rank&q=info:{url|encode}
to
[URL_R]=http://toolbarqueries.google.com/tbr?client=navclient-auto&hl=en&ch={gchecksum}&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&features=Rank&q=info:{url|encode}
This does not work.. I have restrated firefox, however SEO Quake still shows all PR as N/A

Any ideas warriors..?

  • This has been discussed a few times since yesterday. There is no page rank displaying for anything at the moment. Apparently it is a tribute to Steve Jobs or something. But don't worry it will come back.

    • I know that..
      What I was asking is if anyone has SEO Quake PR working now.. After google changed the PR encode
    • Sorry if this has been answered but how is it a tribute ?

    • PR Issue is not new but the new thing is that this time Google Toolbar is actually showing PR and other tools like SEO QUAKE & Search status is not showing PR. Its gonna be 48 hours now...
      If the quake or other tools need to update their version regarding PR coding so i think they have to do it on urgent basis....
      • [1] reply
  • What's wrong in that ??
    Haven't you experience the PR issue before mrgee??
    Do you think its a new thing in SEO..??
  • Well Good News for all
    SEO quake has launched its new version "Seoquake version 2.7.8 beta" Try this, Its working now...
  • Yes, Google has change some algorithm of PR not any PR Tool working except Google Toolbar, I also check some other PR Tool but not working

    • I know..!
      Please dont respond unless you have an answer to my original question
      Otherwise it is just SPAM!!

  • I too tried changing the preferences but without any result, even though from looking on other forums it seems to work for some people. So I removed seoquake and got 2.7.8 from their website thinking that was going to resolve it, but nothing has changed. So I am asking the same question really, has anyone here found a solution that actually works for them?

  • The latest version of SEO Quake does the trick... Released today!
  • ohh thanks to you...i am using web-rank toolbar and its not showing anything since yesterday and i was thinking that my site has gone down. but now i have come to know it is the fault of these PR tools. my site may be is on the same position.
  • You are not the only one who meet this problem.I think all people want to know why this happen.I have tried to update the seoquake,but the pr still not show correctly.the only thing we can do it to wait for the update asap.
  • I believe Google changed where they store the PR's on their API key so it was just a matter of each of the programs out there to update this in there program and roll it out.

    I have just updated SEO Quake and all PR are showing correctly again. Try downloading it again if you are having any issues.

  • SEO quake is the good one to check PR as well as there are other tools where we can check the PR like search status
  • I like the SEO quake for other useful tools rather then just to check the PR of any website. You can go for the toolbarbrowser addon for firefox. It's really good.

    • Maybe the PR feed was pulled because most of the people who use it are the ones trying to find those high ranking pages to build backlinks on.

      Just imagine all the people who rely on seeing that PR and how it could change the ball game if you never get to see it again.

      Google could be revamping the entire ranking system to something new and we might never see it again.

      Hmmmm. Food for thought.

      It was kind of a shocker for me when I saw it missing.

      It was like having a pacifier taken away.

      I'm suffering from withdrawals already.

      Oops! There it is again.

      Just updated to the latest SEO Quake and viola. We have PR again.

      All that sweating for nothing.
  • My Google Chrome SEOquake is also acting up weird the pass days. It doesn;t show up any PR results. Geez!

    • Visit the SEO Quake website and install the latest version for your browser. They have updated the software to correct the problem.

  • PR has been pretty much messed up in the past few days. I have tried zillions PR Checkers and it's messed up. I thought at first that Google is updating PRs but it wasn't the case. Nevertheless, PR is there, it just doesn't show, nothing to worry. BTW, as everybody mentioned SEOQuake, PRchecker.info and a few others work now. SEO SpyGlass is messed up still.
  • Yes, PR is not visible, I am using Keyword Spy.

  • Here is a pagerank post which is explaining how to fix the PR problem now and what is working.
    • [1] reply
    • Not so subtle promotion for your own blog..
      This fix is not working for me..
      Im sure if you tried a little harder you could fit a few more ads onto your blog page as well..
  • I just back from traveling then found the PR system is broken haha...I hope google will cancel this stupid thing so people will focus more on their content building and the feeling of their customers.
  • I's having the same problem with Firefox. Then I tested the same site with Google Chrome and SEO Quake worked fine with it. So, you can install SEO Quake to Google Chrome and should get the result.
  • You have to shut down Firefox, delete cache and restart Firefox after you reload the new SEO Quake tool bar.

    It's just that simple.
  • I am on Chrome and using iPageRank addon to see a greenbar per page. It seems this tool has been hit by the PR update too. It's only showing gray bar for two days now since I last noticed.

    Could this be a warning from Google? To let us be blind about PR like we are on ad units per page? If it is, then I guess the message is clear, stop looking at the PR and start scrutinizing the actual content of the page, and help the web improve for the better.
  • Everybody knows that Google has changed it's PR calculating URL a week ago. So all 3rd-party scripts now unable to calculate and display it.

    There is a simple solution for those who are using SeoQuake toolbar for FireFox:

    1) Go to SeoQuake Options-Preferences
    2) Select "Google pagerank" line and click "Edit"
    3) Put the following text into the "Edit parameter" box:
    Code:
    [NAME]=Google pagerank
    [TITLE]=PR
    [URL_R]=http://toolbarqueries.google.com/tbr?client=navclient-auto&ch={gchecksum}&features=Rank&q=info:{url|encode}
    [REGEXP]=Rank_.*?:.*?:(\d+)
    4) Save changes.

    Done!

    • Unfortunately that fix didn't work for me, but I was able to get SeoQuake to work fully on Chrome, and I was also able to get Pagerank to display by using Goggle toolbar on IE. But today Pagerank has disappeared from both of those options and I am back to n/a for all sites. Is this just me?
    • Just tried it out. I'm using FireFox 3.6.23 and it's now working great after putting the above text into the "Edit parameter" box.

      Many thanks
    • Thanks for the help but my SEOQuake's already working. I tried this fix few days ago but it didn't work fine for me.
    • Or.... you could always go to SEOQuake's website and download the update... but that would be way too simple.

    • IF the PR still not working, open the Parametres value, choose Google page rank parametre and remove word “search” in the string "http://toolbarqueries.google.com/search?client=navclient…" to word “tbr” like this “http://toolbarqueries.google.com/tbr?client=navclient…” And test it one more time.

  • Have also encountered that just lately and still searching for another tool.
  • LOL - It amazes me to see how many people still think "PR" means anything other than public relations...lol

  • I think it was a Google PR update. When I cleared the history of a browser and started Firefox again, my SeoQuake add-on updated and now it's working. But I have other problem.

    When I check sites and their PR, I want to sort PR by the highest to the lowest. I clicked on the arrow to sort results, but nothing happened. I have this problem for some days now. What do I need to do that SeoQuake will sort results? Thanks!
    • [1] reply
    • I am able to see the PRs next to the SERPS. But unable to sort. Anyone knows the solution?

      I tried older version of firefox. I tried new versions of both firefox and seo quake. But i am unable to sort PR.

      Thank you in advance

  • I don't know what specific problems others are having, but I have SEO Quake working fine on Firefox and Chrome, latest versions.

    Here are the versions of SEO Quake you should have below. You just need to load these from the extensions add-on sections from within each browser, no need to download it from the SEO Quake site.

    Chrome - SEO Quake
  • Just wanted to say that I couldn't get it working in Firefox (even after resetting parameters), but I installed the Chrome version and it works fine.
  • If people still cannot get it working, open preferences, click on PR thn edit. Remove the "amp;" and it will work fine.

  • SEOQ 2.7.9 + FF 7.0.1 -> PR sorting does not work.

    SEOQ + Chrome 14.0.835.202 m -> PR sorting no problem.

    hth :-)
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • Yes I am using chrome right now to sort the results. In addition to this, sorting works fine on yahoo site explorer in FF.

      Lets hope to get the fixed seoQuake updates sooner.

  • @mrgee: it seems the last two links in your signature contain an " character that will probably not make those links count. Have a look.
